HEllo, new player here (about 3 weeks)
I decided to play a build that isnt really "meta" atm, despite still using Grothdar proc. Mag dk dualwield/resto staff 5/1/1 Cloth. Not the smartest choice for a new player that wants to focus on pvp, but hey, i always had a thing for the underdog spec AND apparently magdks will get some luuuuve in the future balancing patch.
Now, im only at 220 cp, and despite playing in AS campaign, i know CP still affects your main stats (right? i dont knwo by how much, but it seems to increase max mag/stam/health based on cp points spent)
im running 2 groth, 5 burning spellweave, 5 sun inpen everything
my DW weps are sharpened and gold (not swords cuz nobody got gold for that crazyness), but the rest of the gear is purple (full gold magika enchants)
Basically, i think my burst and sustained are pretty good (with all stars alligned and all procs up my spellpower is over 4k and i see some good numbers), but i seem to lack knowldge when it comes to survivability (and being in cloth doesnt help).
I use tri pots and immovability pots (health/mag), and im using blue food cuz my health is too low ( 22kish, with 34k mag)
I do have a background in high rated pvp and i understand the basic concepts of lign of sight etc etc...BUT, how do you guys survive for sooo long?
I know it depends on build/gear/skill etc but i see some people surviving 1 vs x forever (some could literally last forever if they decided to never risk going offensive)
I cant afford perma blocking, because 1- no shield and 2-10k stam
should i block, hard, spam embers until i can get a good stun and go offensive? what about when its 1 vs X?Some people seem to not take damage at all.
(im obviously talking about non-gank builds, i think those are broken, even if i INSTANTLY break the stealth stun, if im not dead i will have less then 2k health left after a 20k bow heavy,, and thats before prcs and NB ulti, i font think even heavy armour would help there)
So, tips on surviving pls
