Who here still plays a light armour magDK?

After farming forever I finally got semi decent drops and made a (not original) light armour build again to do something else in this heavy armour meta.
I'm running
2p grothdarr/skoria haven't decided which I like better.
5p sun
5p spellweave
Dual s&b 5l 1m 1h
My stats are
magicka 37339 1131regen
Health 21557 + 5k in cyrodiil
Stam 15649

Sp 2200 unbuffed 2640 buffed
Whip 8203 + 400 sun unbuffed 8849 +400 sun buffed.
With buffed I mean only degeneration ( entropy morph) bsw adds another 600 to my spell damage when it procs.
Critical resist is only 1900 I think but I don't have impen on all pieces I want yet so it'll have to do for now.

I'm thinking of trying spinners so I can take points out of spell erosion since I have quite a few in there. Bloodthorns touch looks interesting too.
And whats the better morph of annulment? Are they good enough to drop Igneous shield for? Igneous is cheaper and gives major mending + earthen hearth passives but annulment is a bigger shield, opinions?
And any of you still play a light armour magDK?

Hard for me to play light armor

I usually run heavy armor. You will have good damage with that setup but be extra fragile. I think Blobs runs spinners and trainee with light armor.

I do, Dual wield torug swords, and destro on the back with Julianos and Spinners. Hits like a truck but squish without a group. Obsidian shard can help out a lot on the squish part. Unless they start dodging everything which is common. I haven't sat down and completely optimized it yet but I have seen destro ult hit for well over 9k and whips for 9k. I'm pretty sure that is on some no impen guy with group buffs. (9k is actually still kind of low for destro lol)

My death log numbers don't look that out of place with my heavy armor death logs because of the absurd amount of penetration in the game. It's really the lack of blocking that makes me squishy.

I run 5 light Aether, 5 sergeants mail (jewelry + 2 heavy) and vMA staffs. It's a bit cheesy and super squishy but with magma shell up it's fun to just go ham.

5 spinners 5 sun skoria SnB. Out of stam real easy, even rocking 2k impen doesnt help once the shield goes.

Also had to give up the fiery breath slot or talons slot on FB for dampen, didnt really like that. And here is the best part. My Lash still only hits for 3.9k from a 10.7k tooltip.
Really thinking its more of bugged out resistance against flame lash then a weak skill. Is it being affected by DOT resist CP?

That skill is weird. The templar reflect from npcs will actually make it whip you. (not sure if that was ever fixed.) The damage for that thing is all over the place for me and I can't make sense of it either. Maybe it's elemental defender. That is suppose to bypass penetration.

Flame lash needs a buff in damage or something

im running the same gear as op but with resto staff on off bar because ward >dragon blood interms of magika vs heal

now, with all the buffs up my spell damage goes through 4k and i have seen lash crit for 10k and got a 21k shooting star once.

Problem is, i LITERALLY get one shot by gankers..

It doesnt help that i started p[laying 3 weeks ago and only have 220 cp (but i play in the non cp campaign)

Could use some tips on hwo to NOT take damage. i see peopel surviving 1 vs X for SOOOOO long...i dont even get why/how.

Mate, I'm 561 and I still don't even know how some players seems to take no damage then proceed to burn someone's health before they can react.

5 trainee, 5 silks, 2 skoria. Extra health and stam is super useful in light armor.

As a DK, the best means of defense against multiple opponents is block, which means you need higher stam pool and to lose your staffs.

Yh i think I'm gonna give the trainee set a go, I really need as much Stam as I can, hope I get lucky with some chests.
Also annulment and morphs over Igneous shield or is Igneous better?

In groups I'm fine but I like to solo so I hate the squishyness, I usually end up switching to heavy armour before the nights over haha

rofl you only gety squished if you sitting on front lines all by your self letting zergs focus you down. oh wait dont matter what gear you wearing that gonna happen. i wear light armor all the time in pvp and do very well (dont ask me to gank cause i not a solo pvper, i build for group and play with groups).
