Thief mundus

I pvp in duels and in the sewers or imperial city. What I have been noticing is that when im fighting tanks my damage is to low and they can slowly run me over I just cant kill them. Other times people get in my face and run me over with mass damage. And then sometimes I run people over or we have a long fight and I may win.

But all in all I would say i win only 30% of my fights maybe, so I am just wondering if this is going to work or should i try something else. Is heavy armor better than light? And also in general what are the stats you would be looking for to be competitive in pvp?

The set up isn't bad I would try 5 necro or 5 spinners though, but julianos will work fine if you don't like farming. I also noticed you don't have merciless resolve you are going to want to keep that active at all times or its going to be hard to kill anyone. Also you don't have shadow image that's another skill I feel is a must to get distance if people get to close. What you are going to want to do is set your burst up with your spectral bow and your soul harvest or shooting star. If skoria procs even better. Your regen is pretty low as well I would recommend at least 1500 for a magblade because damage is so high you have to constantly recast your shield, but, if you are comfortable running low regen like that I would recommend switching to the shadow mundus for more damage. I would also test out flame reach or agony for a cc over fear for a extra dot, if you don't like it you can always switch back to fear. As for your ultimate I use soul harvest on my front bar but you may also look at soul assault because it has a chance to proc skoria as well. When you are fighting don't stand in one spot I like to jump around so I facing my opponents back. Use your dots and light attack in between every skill. By the time you get all your buffs up most times your bow will be ready to fire. Just keep up the pressure keep your dots ticking, skoria will keep procing the pressure is usually so high that alot of players can't go offensive and will just turtle up on defense until they fit

thankyourat is right, if you are just dueling you want agony and or the reach. reach is good mid-combat as it knocks them back, but it wont make them spend stam unless they try to block it. agony on other hand unless you damage them afterwards and before they break free will cause them to use up some of thier stamina. fear is a group cc. and from what i see of your bar you are heavily focused on 1v1 build.

Thanks guys I will give that a try, I can definitely see merciless resolve coming in handy there has been a lot of times where I had my opponent so close to death but could not finish the job. I use to be dual wield so im leveling destro staff from what i hear is the ultimate is really strong and was eventually going to switch to that over shooting star, what do you think? And if this build was going to work maybe try and get the maelstrom staff.

The destro ultimate is pretty good. Not a bad ability at all. They both are very strong. shooting star will give you alot more burst but the destro ultimate has decent burst plus crazy sustained damage i would try both out and see which one works better for you. I prefer the burst and ultimate regen of shooting star, but alot of people like the destro ultimate because it's hard to counter. As long as you are comboing your merciless with your ultimate you will kill most people. Even heavy armor users if you are using the spinners set. Sometimes they can take a beating, but you will eventually get them

Why structured entropy and not degeneration ? Combined with siphoning attacks and swallow soul your resource regen is very high. Second the need for merciless -I would also checkout soul assault against stamina based builds

soul assault looks good on paper, but its not best, your tying yourself up to only doing an ultimate's damage when there are other ultimats just as strong and stronger for mages that dont tie up your hands as well as soul assault is very easily countered.

I figured it could be good on a dot build if you have 3 dots on someone use a assasins will then use soul assualt and skoria procs that seems like it would be alot of burst and very difficult to recover from. It also lets you stay at range the whole burst. I'll probably test it out tomorrow. But yes I'm also not thrilled about being stuck in a channel
