  because:
  1) Their strength comes from countering lots of annoying stuff through purge, not cheesing enemies down quickly
  2) Their class-defining spammable (jabs) doesn't work with tremorscale, doesn't work with selenes and doesn't proc poisons (and hence widowmaker). There's still velidreth but it's just less of the messed-up stuff.
  3) You actually need to manage resources, even at a rather low skill level. Really good stamsorcs have to do that too, but if you're okay with getting rekt sometimes by crushing shock, "charge -> procprocproc -> blink out -> spam dark deal" gets you VERY far if you're a terrible player and want to appear over-average. Doesn't mean that stamsorc aren't much better when played well. But they're FAR mor noob friendly and so are nightblades you just attack to land one high-damage combo and are fine with being unable to do anything if that fails - they still can get enough kills if it succeeds.
  
  Thus, far less players will be annoyed by dying from stamplar attacks than there are those who just see a flood of tremor and/or selenes in every other recap
