Mag Sorc or Mag NB for Returning Player

Well I give up on another game I have been playing for a while. The new expansion just killed my class, and things aren't looking to good.

I played ESO a little before moving to the other game for PVP and enjoyed myself, but did not play long. PC - NA

I am returning now and two classes have really peaked my interest.

1) Magicka Sorc

2) Magicka NB

I have always mostly been into PVP since I started playing MMORPG's and will mostly focus on that in ESO. Though I don't mind running a few dungeons or raids for a few key pieces of gear if needed.

My question to you veterans is this --

If you knew what you know now when having a chance to start from scratch, which of the two classes above would you choose to get started with? I really like the thought o magicka sorc do to the spells they use (fan of storm type spells). Magicka NB also sounds really cool, and I like the thought of using the shade teleport to juke players.

Also, would you consider crafting a must in this game to compete? I don't mind crafting if I have to do it. I've never crafted in a game before so that would be a new experience.

I have the game downloading so when I get home from work I am going to jump right on and start playing.

I am leaning towards DC or AD (undecided) , and Breton Race. I have Imperial Edition so can play in any race per faction I believe.

Thanks so much for your time.

Cloak? Hah! Good luck with that. Skill is still bugged

Anyways, Magblade is in a pretty bad spot PvP-wise and currently feels like a weaksauce Sorc.

However, it is way more fun to play as a MagBlade: I rerolled from Sorc to MagBlade after 2 months and never regretted it

It's up to you to decide. And if you want, I can give you a couple of pointers to help you on your way if you choose MagBlade

Magicka Sorc is still great. Mageblade has taken a huge decline.

As a returning player Magicka Sorc would be a good bet. They're still super strong as well as very forgiving with the use of damage shields.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

pick either and, before you invest tons of time into perfecting your build and playstyle you can always:

10 times: a) get only-1-shotted by some proc build
1 time: b) kill 10 proc builds at once in a lucky destro ult

pvp is pretty messed up right now. but it is at least "kind of fair": every class stam/mag combination has access to something broken that, with some luck, can produce good results (even regardless of skill, just needs more luck).
