Need magicka dk build advice
OK, so I want to roll a magicka dk for PvP but I'm unsure about the gear selection as I want sustain and damage. So far I'm leaning towards dual s&b 5pc sun set (3x jewelry, sword and shield) 5pc heavy seducers 2pc skoria. I think this will balance out the sustain and damage and also I'm only cp 240. Do you guys suggest better options as far as gear selection and also would a destro resto dk work?

✭✭✭✭✭If you are using a crafted set as part of your setup consider making one of the pieces a weapon - will save you the farming for the perfect weapon trait. (so suns is jewelry/shield/belt, seducer is weapon/rest armor pieces). It means you will wear one light piece, but you probably want to anyway to take advantage of the undaunted passive.
Other than that your setup sounds pretty good. Im using kagrenac instead of seducer (more damage/faster rez but less sustain) but seducer should be fine.0 -
AverageJo3Gam3r✭✭✭✭✭Black rose is good too. A middle ground between kags and seducer. Less magical and damage, but more sustain. And the extra stamina really comes in handy.
I've seen a lot of mDKs hyped about rattlecage. I'm farming shalk to try that out. Tavas favor is another popular choice.Edited by AverageJo3Gam3r on 19 October 2016 18:461 -

✭✭✭Shalk is excellent, really, really excellent. But it is bugged at the moment, of where you are stuck in immortal combat until you die. Which is very frustrating for mounting/porting/mail/logging out etc
imo,
Grothdarr is amazing in open world pvp, Skoria is better suited for duels.
If you where using 5pc Tavas or Shalk, I'd have Grothdarr equipped, otherwise Blood Spawn.
For smallman stuff, ( Sustain acknowledgement )
( Black Rose / Desert Rose / Seducers ) + ( Sun / Spinners )
For large group stuff, ( Damage acknowledgement )
( Rattlecage / Kags / Black Rose ) + ( Sun / Spinners )
If using Grothdarr, I'd favor Sun over spinners
If you'd be using the destro ulti, I'd consider having a look at Spider Cultist too.
As someone mentioned above, if you are having a crafted set into the mix, aim to get the weapons in on that set, as it'll be cheaper for you ( and you can make Nirn shields )

✭✭I also want to suggest a strong consideration of Trainee. DK benefits heavily from stacked stats: dragon Blood and battle roar and stam for blocking. 2.4k mana is more than 3.6k when CPs and other bonuses are included. That is close to the dmg Sun gives you on its 5pc. The health and mana bonus is a wash, leaving a single spell dmg bonus against stam+2.4k stam+2.4k HP. Seems like a solid competitor.0 -

You can get jewelry in all traits and a scattering of non training pieces.
If, however, you have to use 2pc of training on your armor, it's not too bad. The amount of stats is really, really high.0 -
