Clever alchemist question

Is it good to run on say a brawler type build? Or is it mainly for gank burst?

I'll join the question, although I have a few things to remark.

    1) One of Fengrush stamsorc builds("Supernaut") uses CA + Molag Kena. Then again, would you call it a brawler.

    2) CA bonus can be ''weaved'' with barswapping: put 5 pieces on the back, 3-4 on the front. So you can often squeeze in other 5 set bonus + full Agility/Willpower jewelry.

I tried a combo like that with Kagrenac's, but I am a relatively inexperienced player. Maybe someone else would pull more out of what I had.

    3) Immovability potions.

Alchemist is a strong for any type of class if used correctly. It's less about the extra damage and more about empowering what you already have set as your main burst combo. If you don't already play a bursty style, but a more long fight wear down style then it might not be for you.

Remember Alchemist on the first two piece bonuses just gives health . The last 3 are damage boosters . You need points in alchemy to get the longest durations . I find it useful for strong burst but there is no jewelry for it and it takes up weapon and armor slots . So the options for sustain are lower . It can be good as a brawler set up if you have some stamina returns on another set or Agility jewelry for Stam returns . It takes very good timing to get good at mastering .

I wouldn't use CA in a sustain build. Only in burst. CA + Stygien + Iceheart for magicka maybe?

That could be juicy. Let's say you have a standard 2,200 spell damage. With major sorcery, clever alchemist and stygian on top of that you would be close to 4k already (3951 sd if my maths is right). That's not including the 20 percent max magicka buff from Stygian which amps your damage even more. Pop a magelight to empower your next attack with all them buffs and you'll be melting things in no time.

Yep, you could also wear different monster pieces to get magicka and spell crit or magicka, magicka bonus? Maybe invisible batswarm? But Iceheart sounds so cool imo, burst > shield proc > disengage. Could be awesome, downside of this build is you can do only one thing.

But imo it's senseless theory craft magicka builds atm, cause changes to light armor or destro staff will come.

I use it for ganking and it's great, but I have crap for sustain and need to make sure my timing is spot on or I'll end up wasting a pot.

My experience with it is solely from a magicka perspective though, so when it comes to stam I don't know too much about its effectiveness. I can see stam sorcs doing alright with it though if they incorporate dark deal.
