    Breton
This might be a boring thing to read. But let me explain why I choose Bretons in the first place.
To evaluate my choice, I must write a thing or two about each playable race we have in ESO.

Imperials. Yeah, I have seen a few. We need more so I can have any opinion on them.

Altmer. Zos did good job on them. They act high and mighty, even when trying to be humble and caring. I never liked them, and they dislike me back. Certainly one of the races I dislike. But, as I said, Zos made them true to what they always have been in ES games.

Bosmer. Not so bad, we get some insight into their lands, too bad we didnt get more areas to be like Selene's Web, as that would be awesome. What I find wrong about them is that they are known for their xenophobic behavior, cannibalism and in ESO they seem almost like a calm, village ppl that don't mind so many strangers roam their sacred forests, etc. Zos really soften them a lot, to be desirable by real life world of 21st western standards, I guess. I never liked Bosmer at all, but they annoyed me less than Altmers.

Khajiit. I actually like what Zos did with them. Gj! Interesting folk, amusing way of talk, side stories I found to be great. We didn't know that much about them before, since focus was more on other races in ES series. Khajiit in ESO really seem like lazy big cats that would rather enjoy some life like a true hedonist, than to act as crazy militaristic fanatics like some other races. I like how they are in ESO.
Only thing that surprised me was that the Dune, we all heard and read a lot before, has zero sand in it, lol.

Dunmer. Imho, the race that was done the best of them all. We get to see slavers, crazy fanatics, militaristic when it comes down to their own ideas, fiery in all segments of life. They seem very natural to what they were in Morrowind, or Skyrim. I might not approve of what many of Dunmer did or will do in later eras, but they were done well, in comparation to some other nations we have in ESO.

Saxhleel. I have sympathy for them. We got to see how their society works, but I do not like the way Zos did them. It is very hard to believe that most of the Saxhleel ppl do not mind having Dunmer as allies, since they spent a lot of time as their slaves. I am sorry, but forgive and forget is implausible for an entire race in such a short time. Only a handful of Saxhleel show bitter emotions toward Dunmer, and for that they seem like foolish folk. Also, for some reason, Shadowscales are made to be some kind of red cross organisation, while, in the lore, we saw them to be maybe the most fearsome assassin organisation that ever existed on Nirn. I know this is MMORPG and races had to be more or less seen as something good and moral compared to irl standards in society, but Saxhleel were not done that well and seem very fake because of emotions they were deprived from by Zos.

Nords. Pretty much one of the most poorly done races in ESO. I am a Nord myself, and I have been one in every TES game I played, Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim. And in each of these, Nords had some flavor. Here, 99% of them are generic drunktards with no real soul. If there were no Bretons, Nords would be most poorly done race of them all.

Orsimer. I always had a soft spot for Orsimer in all TES games I played. Here, we get to see them more like a nation and less like savage brutes/secluded village ppl. On the other hand, many of non hostile Orsimer NPCs seem a bit fake and bland. If there were no random Orsimer bandits and cultists, they would seem like almost a friendly bunch. And knowing that their allies actually destroyed every single of Orsimer's attempts to grow as a nation, it is very fake how they treat foreigners in their lands. They leave this impression of very naive ppl, and Orsimer ain't naive at all. Still, they are not so bad as Saxhleel.

Redguard. Never liked them, and no, I am not a racist. Simply, I always seen them as a race I do not have a lot of common with. I think they have some flavor in ESO, and some of zones they live in as "natives" are pretty cool. Not bad at all.

Bretons. Race so generic I wanted to cry. It would seem every single Breton in game, both dead and undead is somehow a part of royalty. Glenumbra bored me to death, Rivenspire bored me to death, I was actually happy to get to Alik'r Desert after so many Breton encounters. I am really disappointed how they were made in ESO. If you add whiny king on top... I would rather be in Coldharbour slowly turning into mindless soul shriven than do Cadwell's Silver again. I mean, for a race that was created from both mer and men, Bretons do seem rather boring. With Nords, worst made race in ESO. I feel for some reason that DC areas were the ones Zos spent least time on, storywise. Hopefully some future new zones will make some improvement to that, as Hew's Bane did with Redguards.

Really? With AD EVERY main story quest being the same? "Oh no, another trusted ally turned on the naive Queen". The Khajiit culture quests were the only quests that were somewhat interesting. If you managed to travel the frustrating and repetitive terrain of AD being only jungle and mountains that block everything off. It was the worst. Yes, Bretons are generic for being half elf but then they were never really interesting in other games either. They're just... humans. Which doesn't really sound annoying given the other choices available.

Other races provide some annoyances too, the hotheaded Nord drunkards (my favorite book: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Enduring_Nord_Society), the Dunmer Dres slavers, the slimy and insidious Khajiits, the somewhat pasha-like and decadent Redguards, but nothing beats the arrogance and self claimed "super-race-habit" of Altmers. To truly understand that you need to play Skyrim and watch Thalmor actions there.
