Hi guys

I played earlier in imperial city to just get totally trounced by any opposite faction member that i came across. Can someone sense check my build and maybe give me some pointers i think the main issue is my gear.

Stam DK

Bar 1 - 2h

1 - Crit rush
2 - Executioner
3 - Fossilize
4 - Wrecking blow
5 - Rally
Ult - Take Flight

Bar 2 - Bow
1 - Green Dragon blood
2 - Poison Injection
3 - Volatile armour (not sure wether this or igneous shield)
4 - Dragon fire scale
5 - Shuffle
Ult - Werewolf form (I have maxed this out and use all abilities)

I think what i have on my bars is ok but i feel like i do no damage at all.

My gear is terrible i can admit that i recently hit 160 and am confused as to were i go here.

Weapon damage with bow - 1926
Weapon damage with 2h - 2560

stats buffed with food- braised rabbit with spring veg

HP 16,258
MK - 8659
Stam - 31,222

On that note all points are in stam

Thanks for looking over this any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, I'm sort of noob too

But, getting at least purple gear in a decent set is very important. Pick what sets you want, there are a lot of viable options. I'd recommend looking at a website and theory crafting. You will want full impen on everything so keep that in mind.

Next, you're probably going to want a Sharpened primary weapon (your 2h) of at least purple but ideally Legendary quality.

You want to make sure you are 'weaving' attacks, using a light attack between every Wrecking Blow (I'm maybe a bit wrong here.. WB has its own animation usage.. check a video and practice)

Finally, if you are stam, you pretty much Need to use Vigor

When I was PVPing borderline Noob I encountered these players who seemed very hard to kill while doing good damage.. what was that glowing gold they were using? Templar spell? No, they have DK skill.

Once I learned it was Vigor then earned it, I became way more durable. Suddenly I am one of the guys who cannot be brought down easily. (it wont help in absolutely every fight though. Sometimes I find a duel is a straight out damage rush, sometimes it's more of stat management.. the difference makes it fun and exciting and trying to read the right time to use what)

As a DK, you can combine Vigor with Igneous for increased healing. You definitely want Vigor, igneous is extra.

Vigor is a HoT but it ticks.

So first thing with your bars is to drop green dragon blood and replace it with vigor. It's up to you where to fit igneous.

Finally, I would balance out your stam and hp, using enchants on your final gear set. Your stam is a bit high and your HP a bit low. Lots press for high stam but I find a higher HP pool to be nice.

What specific sets are you wearing, and with what enchants? If you are on PC, an addon called MyBuild will provide a really helpful screenshot.

This is some really helpful info thanks for sharing this!.

I think from this i will defo redo my stat points to have more hp is there any recommendation you think i should go as in 20 hp and the rest in stam or?

Using vigor with igneous clears a lot with me and not use green dragon blood i feel like such a new start coming up with the best build is really difficult in this game. Then of course gear is there any medium sets you would recommend?

    Thanks again

I hope it catches you in time, keep all your stat points in stam

You will be able to balance it out with Enchants

there is a good list of sets here

    http://elderscrollsonline.wiki.fextralife.com/Sets

Viper is really popular for the proc but I would consider Strength of the Automaton or Spriggans instead, personally, maybe sword singer

These will be found from drops

I like the Tel Var sets, I don't know what others think of it but I think the Powerful Assault set sounds pretty good if you're going to be PVPing in a group, since you will be casting Vigor to keep that buff up a lot. Shield breaker would be useful against damage shield sorcs who are very powerful but niche, and a bit against some templars

You can go Draugr hulk, even Salvation if you like to use WW a lot

Ultimately it is your choice and there are a lot of options depending on what skills and weapons you want to use

Those are just my picks.. maybe you would prefer a roll dodge set, or a crit build. There are a lot of great options that I think you can make work.

edit - somehow I forgot about widowmaker though I've been saving all my impen pieces of it.

This is a large part of the problem. Running some appropriate sets will improve your build dramatically, especially if they suit how you want to play. What's your playstyle? Tanky? Aggressive? Support? Ganker?

Also, do NOT respec your attributes half into health and stam.

ok haha keep everything in stam!

When i pvp because confidence is low at the moment i like to get the jump on folk so a sort of aggresive playstyle suits me best i would say i think build is the biggest issue there is clearly atill some homework that needs to be done. The weapon i have is a 2h voidsteel axe sharpened with fire damage.

On that note is the best enchant to have on a weapon damage health? as it does daedric damage
