Is Grim Harlequin Motif limited time exclusive of the crown store or not?

    Nope, can't think of anything.

If you run a business then you should be worried about what people say and if they are angry about something leaving them without any clarification on the dark just makes things worse. A simple yes or no would suffice and I can't accept noone has the time for that despite of tomorrow's update. They have always someone monitoring the forum s and them not responding but having enough to move other similar threads to the crown store section says it all

It says what you think it does. Moving a question about an item for sale in the crown store, regarding its being in the crown store, kinda warrants being moved to a forum dedicated to crown store items and sales.

My God, they're running a business, they need to make money. Game chuggs along half the time and you want to deprive them of more cosmetic-based income? The passion of angry gamers isn't enough to pay for servers, upgrades and DLC production.

As long as they don't go full PW and throw actual epic gear in the store, Idc.

It is cosmetic, yes, but some people actually RP as a crafter, and then have to pay real money just to be able to offer a style in game for fake money. Yes the style is just for looks, but this has an effect on the in game economy.

And so what... You can say that about every thing.

I run a business too and in case I make a promise to a customer and then I decide to not follow it through I would at least have the manners to let him know the reason why I wont be able to do so. Is it unhealthy to ask questions on things they post? When they posted the showcase they had a link to the forums for discussion so I don't see why I'm the unreasonable here. When you ask a question an answer is to be expected is it not? Especially if the subject has steered conflict inside the community.

Wait... Wat? I thought this was a quest related to the Witches' Festival. I guess that is Hollowjack and this is CS specific? So I could buy this and crown mimic stones then charge in game gold to make this "rare" costume and basically circumvent the whole it will be available in game as well thingy?

I'm not saying he's wrong to want to get an answer to how they have wronged him so with one of the best cash shops in the MMO business. But he's spamming the forums, spamming reddit, about to go spam twitter and facebook.

If I had time to sit there all day spamming about a relatively meaningless thing in a all around great MMO, my business would be in the gutter.

I have become more defensive on my opinion cause for two days now people who don't care if it will be exclusive or not try to bash my opinion or others on Reddit and I know we will get an answer I just have become somewhat irritated. I dont try to say it's gonna be the end but as I have seen this before in other MMOs I know such moves (if true) only lead to more and more stuff like that or worse and I don't want that to happen to eso cause it's really a game that has only become better those two years in my eyes if you exclude the pvp problems. So yeah That is what I wanted to say. All I need is an answer

The breathless hyperbole of some of the posts here is just amazing. Customer asks developers a valid question in the place that was created for customers to ask questions and he's "spamming." OMG he cross-posted to reddit, the nerve! We get it, you like the game and don't care about anyone else's opinions of it or how it is run. Thanks for contributing.

But seriously guys, we know what it means when ZOS refuses to address a question, we've all danced this dance before.

According to the dev tracker, there haven't been any dev posts at all since that Crown Store showcase was posted four days ago. That's weird in itself. I hope the team gets back around here to start talking to us again, especially with the big update happening tomorrow. You'd think they'd be all over it hyping that up.

    Nope, can't think of anything.

Oh right, I should have assumed that not a single person in that entire office might have found it worthwhile to take a few minutes out of the past four days to glance at the forums and maybe answer some questions or post some PR to get people enthused about this big update they're working tirelessly on. How silly of me.

Yes, obviously they're busy. But to go completely silent for a span of days leading up to a big update is still a little odd. Perhaps you misinterpreted my post as being demanding in some way, but I can assure you that the snark isn't warranted.

Any guess on how much it will cost? It does not even really look that great (to be exclusive) and the one helm looks like Slade's mask from Teen Titans.

Since the showcase several people asked if the motif is gonna be a crown store exclusive and if yes why but still no one has answered.
We need a clarification to that and if that is the case indeed everyone should be against it. Cause even if many people don't like the appearance of this motif they should keep in mind that probably stalhrim motif is gonna be crown exclusive too. And it goes downhill from there with separating crafters online to the ones having all in game motifs and those who were willing to pay the ones available only on the crown store.
    My Proposes are those:
    - make it a costume instead
    - make it work like imperial style transmogrification for our current gear
    - make it tradeable so even people in game can buy it somehow

Making it tradeable would end up with people paying irl $ for gold. There is a reason crown store items are bound.

I have never seen so many people get so wound up over cosmetics in a game.

The rare triple-post, seen here in its natural habitat.

Also people are wound up over cosmetics, they are wound up over ZOS's monetization strategy. The Breton Hero Costume rage was people wound up over cosmetics.

I honestly don't understand why people care. If you don't want to spend your money on it then don't.

No reason to compassion because someone else is willing to spend money to obtain the motif. As long as the stay with cosmetics and convenience items like they have been then it really does not matter. People are wound up over cosmetics.

People should not be concerned with their monetization strategy, they are not on the payroll.

To the guy earlier who said they don't need to earn money. What are you talking about, do you know how the world works? Of course they need to earn money. Nobody said it is your responsibility for them to earn money. But it is also not your responsibility to tell them how they can and can not make money.

Because a discussion was moved and we don't have an answer, it is crown store exclusive?

Because the patch notes listed it as a fix to chapters of the style, heavily indicating there are chapters which are only found in in-game styles, it must be in game too?

Because a discussion was moved and we don't have an answer, it is crown store exclusive?

Because the patch notes listed it as a fix to chapters of the style, heavily indicating there are chapters which are only found in in-game styles, it must be in game too?

both are assumprions and everyone can feel how they want, expect what they want. Just don't lose your freaking marbles. That's all I want. Is for people to say "I'm worried." Not "ZOMG, WTF ZOSES?"

(Not that anyone specifically did that)

If all those posts were not made then zos would not know of that worry. Now all the assumptions were made during those discussions cause we have no clear info on the matter. I want things to be civilized on both sides but you can't maintain that for long and this is going on for 4 days so you can imagine people are getting impatient.

Totally justified if you get impatient and yes they should talk to us. That I 100 percent agree on. Just give us a dang answer.

On the opposite end, maybe not open a thread (or 3) and discuss the exclusicity as though it has happened.
