Magicka Sorc Gank Build?

I was rather surprised... I couldn't find a single thread highlighting a magicka sorc that played not like a nighblade gank, but in a way that it killed really fast in a relatively short amount of time, maybe by combining things like inevitable detonation, velocious curse, and frags etc. I've seen people get dropped to the floor easily in similar ways. Probably takes too long so they have time to retaliate tbh.

Any idea how one would go about doing so on a magicka sorc? If so what is a nice combo? What sets are good for this?

Heh, magicka sorc relies on well timed burst of several abilities for damage. It's kinda hard to do from stealth.

When I'm fighting sorcs they will wait until I'm pretty low health, then with good timing hit me with mages wrath, frags, curse, dawnbreaker. They time it so it all goes off at the same time, and I can tell you, it hurts a lot. While dawnbreaker is physical damage now, a lot of sorcs still run it because it can do decent damage, it's cheap and knocks you down so it's near impossible to recover.
If you're running Boundless storm, you could also burst them while standing close in the hopes implosion would go off as well

Its not possible because everything a sorc does brings them out of stealth. If you want to insta burst just play the normal sorc spec. They have powerful burst options out of stealth.

Hard casting frags doesn't bring you out of stealth until the projectile leaves your hands, based on my experience. So maybe Power Surge -> Frags -> Wrath -> Meteor and pray that they don't block the frags... Also escaping might be difficult if there's more than 1 enemy around.

Buff -> Bow heavy attack + poison arrow from stealth -> stampede/critical rush -> dizzying swing and or heavy attack (bound armaments buff) or Dawnbreaker of Smiting -> executioner. Hurricane is clearly a stealth breaker, not sure about activating critical surge though. If the latter breaks stealth, you can simply use potions for major brutality or be content with the bonus from rally.

You need bound armour and elegant set.

Edit: Combined with Stygian? or Shadow Dancer would just be lol.

I assumed magicka can't gank (except mage NB) since most spells will break stealth so the word "magicka" kinda slipped from my eyes. My bad

Inner Light + Hard cast Frags + Overload Light Attack + Endless Fury = insta kill. Sorcs are pretty decent bankers too. Except that the escape is a LOT tougher than on NBs.
