Looking for advice on a pvp stamplar build

Niqhtmaredemon
I recently have started working on a stamplar. I normally run a Magick sorc. Just looking for advice on some pvp build.

If you run small scale with a healer that has trasmutation you can get reliably you'd probably love tbs. Shadow and thief, impen the amount of pieces you feel comfortable with (i run 3) rest divine. I run it with 5 skirmisher and jewellery and weapons and what ever monster set you want. Normal set up for skills but use rearming trap and fight around it. Your jabs and burning light will crit hard even on people with high impen. If youre planning on doing more weapon skills than class skills go 2h and bow. If you're going full stamplar go dw and 2h buff bar.

I run 4 pc shield breaker, 5 ravager and 2 bloodspawn on imperial stamplar. Thats 30k hp and 4300 weapon damage when ravager procs lol plus youre tanky.
Anybody got a group? LFG, anybody? Hello?

This is pretty nice. However, I think I would rather do 1bs/1kena and 5 piece shield breaker and 4 ravager. I don't like RNG.

I've been running rearming trap instead of wrecking blow lately and I've been doing much better in both 1vx and 1v1 situations. I find it easier to set the trap down and play around it while waiting for trap+magelight empower+ dawnbreaker. Dawnbreaker comes up so fast, so I don't feel like I need more cc than that. Also, rearming doesn't have a cast time, I never feel vulnerable, and WB is generally hard to land against good players and players using immovable pots.

Do a search for Essa-Kh. Seems like a decent dude with a ton of play time and good advice. Been steamrolled by him a few times, still hate him and want to kill him ;P

Also search for Alcast. Very informative and suggests some great builds.

Im running 4 medium alchemist with alchemist bow, 3 agility, 2 blood spawn 2 Leki's and having good success, you have enough damage without the alchemist proc to pressure if not outright kill a lot people and the alchemist proc gives you the burst needed to finish people in outnumbered situations.

@Niqhtmaredemon ...c'mon now mister demon - with that ID what the heck should you care what others call "cancer" builds - you're a demon, act like one for goodness sake...

sure, there may be some glitchy sets out there, but, unless you religiously follow the patch notes or forums - how the heck would you even know (geez I'm killing everyone, hmmmmm everything seems to be working fine to me >:) )

just being a stamplar (i'm guesing in heavy armor) in pvp means you're close to op already...

activate the warrior stone, put on some affliction, hunding's rage, dreugh king slayer, night mother's gaze, ravager, or storm knight and go wreck some fools and jesus beam or jab them all to death...and, start acting more demonic please...

just out of curiosity - what race did you pick for your stamplar?

Oh yeah baby - i got one of those :p

I was helping a buddy get into the game and I had mostly played a breton stamina NB and was absolutely getting my butt kicked, so I wanted to set him up with the most durable character I could think of: an orc templar in heavy armor, so I created one when he started to help walk him through the game...

it's funny watching my big guy in heavy armor outrun just about everyone else on the battlefield...

    Orcs - bred for battle...

If you wanna be hated, go 4 clever alchemist on body with bow, 3 jewelery+1body+2hander viper, and 2x velidreth. Its cheesy, but looking at state of pvp and moster sets comming next patch, zenimax is trying to burry that little diversity we have left and reduce viable builds to black rose+on hit proc set / 2-3 on hit proc sets.
Goodbye smart and tactical pvp - Hello "who rng proc on hit set earlier wins" pvp.

There are tons of possibilities and imho the perfect choice will involve equip-swapping according to the situation. imho you can play in larger (5+) groups or zerg much better in medium whereas true solo pvp (NOT unrgouped inside a zerg anyway) works much better in 5 or 6 heavy. Further almost all variations of dw/1h&s/2h/bow are viable. Personally I don't see a reason to have the same weapon type on both bars, though. in setups without 2h, stam+major brut+major expedition pots are your best friend.

    1) Only use msa weapons if you want to use poisons. Glyphs are crazy [SNIP] strong. Consider a DW mainbar for the same reason. the damage glyph is obviously a good one, but stamina drain, disease damage, and many more are also very, very good.
    2) Decide on you style. Tank and heal in heavy (major mending + minor vitality (+ possibly major vitality pots) give you quite the tools you need), and dodge shuffle in medium. Don't try to mix both. Dodges in heavy are a waste of stamina. Even shuffle is only a decent skill, not a must-have when in heavy. If you're in medium, don't focus too much on def and healing, get mobility instead.
    3) Even with tank+heal or dodge orientations, don't try to be a DK (imho perma block just doesn't work on stamplar) or NB (even when dodging you will take a couple of hits at least)

going from there just use whatever is popular, black rose, eternal hunt, viper, velidreth all get hated a lot. imho use them. only when almost everyone wears that[SNIP] ZOS and their """hard data""" will react and tune this crap down a bit.

Medium vs Heavy also depends if you are playing CP or non-CP campaing. I personaly had troubles in heavy armor in non-CP camp, missing cost reduction from cp hurts a lot(until I got used to it and weave few more heavy atacks into rotation, then it was ok).
Point is: Azura Star = medium, any CP campaing = Black Rose.
