Best Gear Combinations for Stamina Toons

anthonylpz
Hey guys,

I main a Stamplar (relax, not FOTM. It's my only high level toon and I've been playing it for over a year). Now that I have a competitive amount of CP, I've decided to focus my efforts on getting a combination of gear together that can be effective in PvP.

At the moment, I'm running 5/1/1, hundings, bloodspawn, kena, and 3 agility. I have morag tong, viper, and black rose sets as well, but I always go back to hundings because none of the aforementioned seem to do the same amount of damage.

I was hoping you guys could help me choose a combination that can be competitive. Or at the very least, you guys can bring to my attention some combinations I haven't thought of. As for my play style: I dodgeroll a lot (I hate eternal hunt. It's cancer), I'm pretty married to the 2h/box setup, and my resource management is trash lol.

I was considering Skirmishers + Dreugh King and running DW/Bow.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Do you really feel that you have to justify to people that post on these forums? You should know most are exploiters that come here to whine when they are killed or can't kill someone.

Just play whatever you want the way you want, you are the one paying (if you do) and wasting your time playing this game.

    Geez!

If you have nothing helpful to post, don't even bother.

Well OP, I suggest you wait just a little bit till next patch release for some great combinations.

If you want the FOTM ultimate cheese build go with this. If all three sets proc your enemy won't even have a second to react. All the real good players use it. Makes 1vX'ing potatoes look like a part time job.

As for other, lactose intolerant, builds you pretty much have the staple build now. For heavy armor go with Black Rose 7/7 heavy, whatever combination of monster set you want. For medium Flanking is decent, Hundings obviously the all around staple, Skirmisher is nice if you're a break dancer, Eternal Hunt isn't as "cancer" as the previous announced Viper + Widow + Veli and works well for specific play styles (especially coupled with Skirmisher).

There's a ridiculous amount of stamina builds you can run. Most of which are very close in damage and usability. Really all depends on your play style and what you're going for.

Word of the wise, don't go with a heavy armor build if you're dead set on roll dodging all the time. You'll run out of stamina and die quite often.

You can almost combine any of the stamina sets in the PTS and be effective, if not OP.

Hundings is a great set. It's passive isn't a "specialty," so you can use it in lost any situation. My stam builds all have a full set of this to mix and match w drop sets.

I like hunding / marksman for a pvp attack bow setup. Bows sucked for a long time and I'm enjoying sniping people from keep walls lately.

Hunding / morag tong / agility might give you the most raw power from a set combo.

Also, in update 12 all the sets in the game are scaling to 160. You might not spend a lot now...about a gazillion new options are about to hit.

Is there a website that has a list of all the stam sets? Wiki hasn't been updated. :frowning:

Thanks for all your responses. I can't wait for the update. So many options! :scream:

    For Stamplar, 2h/bow I like 5 Alchemist(4 armor + bow), 3 Agility(jewels), 1 Veli, 1 Kena, 2 Leki. I've also been playing around with 5 tong (jewels, 1 armor, bow) 5 Shieldbreaker(or black rose on a 6 heavy 1 medium build) (5 armor) with 1 pc Veli and Malestrom 2h
