Templar or sorc for ranged pvp?

I can't decide which to use as a caster in pvp.

I like Templar for the heals, but like sorc for the easy access to major sorcery through self buff. If I choose sorc, I won't be relying to much on shields and more about just damage.

Anyone prefer one over the other if going for a destro/resto or destro/destro build?

    I would say sorcs. Better mobility to keep at range, better damage options imo since you mentioned you want to go destro anyway. The only problem is that you said you won't be relying on shields lol if you play a sorc, it's quite likely you will be.

    I mean, yeah I'll use em when I need too I just don't wanna have to bar swap every 6 secs to keep the shield up

    My stamplar also supports your decision to run wards on your back bar ;)

    If they don't dodge the Flare it's bed time for most builds. Also I'd very wary of listening to a NB telling you to pick a sorc...

    Run unchained and shuffle along with your wards, or at least try it out. Then just use ward at the beginning, like if you see a stamina user shield up wait for the crit rush/dawnbreaker combo then break cc, shuffle and then just ward up when you need to.

    Lol I said sorc because it sounds like OP wants to play a high damage ranged build. Sorcs will put out consistent damage with great burst and have shields + mobility to protect and reposition. Templars are slow af, dark flare is also slow af and any idiot can see and hear it coming a mile away, javelin is just a ranged cc. I guess that may work in a group setting, but good luck playing solo with that.

    Btw, I have a former emp magsorc that is a much higher AR rank than my main nb :wink: only left him behind because I can't stand AD and already had my first character maxed out from when I first started (EP magblade).
