2 of the new sets incoming and on the PTS now. Surprise surprise. Of course the Stamina one has full time minor expedition.
There's so many new sets it's going to be a while before we get our sea legs after One Tamriel drops.

Am I the only one that feels like a big fat bully when playing magic dk in pvp? You see someone and you grab (drain essence) them but your too fat to do enough damage that you just squeeze them tight and breath (burning embers) on them. If you let go (they break cc) they are always just fast enough (bow speed or just simple run) to be out of your reach (talon) and your heavy breathing (chains) has pretty much let you down and now thr enemy is forever gone.

The way you described these skills makes me wonder when the last time you touched a Dk XD
Try stacking petrify over talons while hitting with flame lash while dropping skoria. Op combo that wrecks other magicka classes. Since we can only dodge roll and or break free maybe like 2-3 times and then we are sitting ducks.
If your complaining about stamina classes good luck.

For duels specifically; magicka dk is & has almost always been one of the strongest. Now with the buff to skoria; I'm pretty sure Blabafat has gone undefeated on the PTS with his magdk
@AverageJo3Gam3r didn't they buff stonefist? Also, what's that set where it grabs the person farthest away & pulls them to you with a spider web; has that been tried?

Stonefist is a joke. It deals minimal damage and knocks them down giving cc immunity. Fossilize or invigorating drain are much, much better.
I don't see how swarm mother will help mDK in solo open world. In small group, maybe, but if you want a pull why not just run chains? Seems like a gimmick.
In any case, gap closers are not the issue with mDK. People will gap close to you. It's the lack of healing, burst, execute, escape, and mobility that mDKs lack that makes them underperform in open world solo PvP. Solve two of those problems and mDK will be fine.
PS. Other people call open world solo PvP 1vX. I don't call it 1vX because I'm not specifically seeking out those fights because I have a hero complex. I'm seeking small skirmishes at the supply lines or outskirts of a major battle. I avoid my Zerg and enemy zergs. Buuuuut...this playstyle naturally means I will be outnumbered 2, 3, or 4 to one almost every fight. Something like stonefist buffs or pulling gimmicks don't help me win these fights.
