Harder to obtain != better. Period. For anything that doesn't affect your performance in-game "better" is entirely subjective regardless of whether you're hardcore or casual. I've got an argonian character (who I created shortly after launch, and who was always intended to be an assassin) who uses the Executioner title because that's what fits that character the best, even though that one doesn't exactly require much skill to get either.xANTIxMATTERx wrote: »I cant believe Ophidian Overlord is that 2700 CP guys' best title. Ophidian Overlord isn't bad it's just kind of dated. Now there are two new trials titles (Shehai Shatterer and Mageslayer). Flawless Conqeuror is better IMO, also any PVP title from like Palatine and up. And of course Dromathra Destroyer, which is the coolest and rarest title in game right now
Seems like both of you are pretty casual players then. Certain titles are better than others because they are harder to attain. I just assumed the guy with 2700 CP would be some kind of beast player, not just casual and wearing titles that he thinks are pretty. To each their own.

But there is the aspect of "Title Rarity" also, i.e. for a long while "Master Angler" title was more rare than "Emperor". ( fyi... I still wear my MA proudly..lol). So titles aren't always valued at how "OP" your character is.

Not really man. Like 12 people in the world have the Dromathra destroyer title. It shows off that they have completed the incredibly hard requirements to have access to that title. That makes it better than any title you get just by showing up to a vet trial and completing it once. Rarity is a big factor in most MMORPGs so I don't think I'm the only one who thinks this way. Like I said, to each their own.

sub·jec·tive
/səbˈjektiv/
adjective
adjective: subjective
1.
based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions.
"his views are highly subjective"
synonyms: personal, individual, emotional, instinctive, intuitive
"a subjective analysis"
To you and a portion of the players the simple fact that something is rare makes it "better". That is based on nothing other than your personal feelings, tastes, or opinions. Titles have no effect on gameplay. You might as well say that the striped senche mount is better than the Imperial horse because it's more rare. In fact, neither one is better as they both have identical performance. It's only personal preference that makes anyone value one over the other.
Evidently you didn't and still don't. Sheesh, some people...xANTIxMATTERx wrote: »I understood all of that already.

One thing I saw in actual game play is that the number of CPs someone has doesn't actually strongly correlate with his ability to play the game. Had V16s and now CP400+ players that were really bad in dungeons and CP250-300 play very well. Probably there are indeed some that solo-grinded huge numbers without actually learning to play the game.
