What if...

Instead of just having EP - AD - DC, what if you had the option to remove yourself from an alliance?

- You could of course remain loyal to your alliance, where nothing changes.
- You could fight as a solo, lone ranger. Maybe a penalty for dropping an alliance? You lose your PvP rank...(?)
- You could even fall under a specific Guild that could uprise and become a strong opponent to an entire alliance.

I think this could create some interesting dynamics in Cyrodiil. Some politics would definitely start up... could be pretty epic.

What do you guys think? Who would you fight for?

Honestly I would like a non alliance option where I could fight anyone from the other three, but I'm not sure how well that would work. We already have problems with people doing cross alliances, nightcapping, covering the map that can kill a campaign, etc.. Having an option to be completely solo or even as a guild would be very interesting, but then it would kill the whole premise of the AvAvA.

Maybe if it was a separate campaign where there were no alliances or something like that it would work.

I think this has some merit, sort of like a free-for-all. I kind of assumed though that this kind of option would come out with arenas/battlegrounds/etc as if it were it's own campaign the current keep-capturing system/bonuses wouldn't really work out too well.

Overall op, I think it would be really cool as there are some guys in my own alliance who I would love nothing more than to gank haha. I can't imagine the s***shows that would ensue from allowing this to be an option though, unless maybe if you go the "rogue route" the consequence could be that you earn 1/2 ap or something? Otherwise if you think about, you have another huge chunk of the population that you can farm for ap.

I really think the: having no keeps to tele to, the 3 major factions being enemies, all Questing zones be enemy territory, IC providing no boosts via area control factors would be punishment enough for someone going rogue.

If anything they would deserve a boost in AP imo

I didn't even think about it like that; for some reason I was still thinking they'd just teleport to their alliance owned keeps but that obviously could be a problem lol. In this case then yes definitely should have equal ap gains/a boost if when they go rogue they can't "switch back" in the middle of the campaign to jump into first in line for emp.

Where would they spawn in though? Their original alliance spawn point so they have access to siege merchants, bank, vendors, etc? Would they just not be able to ever capture a resource/keep/town then or would any captured resource/keep become some sort of neutral safe zone/travel spot for the rogues until an alliance captures it?
