Hello,
New Sorc here - I had been toying around with the idea for a pet build recently - was curious what your thoughts on the Clanfear was?
How do the pet heal's work? And is pet-tank a serious problem - i.e. can another player just wreck it off the bat and then I'm ***?
Okay so the clanfear is pretty bad; the heal isn't terrible but its cut in half in cyrodiil so it's like 16% of your max health and the damage is meh. However, twilight is amazing. Pets can be killed easily so that's why its great twilight heals itself and you should always keep ward up on you and the pet.
Just look at battle spirirt, it gives you 5k health, reduces damage by 50%, reduces healing by 50%, and reduces shield size by 50%Hello,

Are there other skills affected by Cyrodill specifically as such? Where can I read about those mechanics?

Sharpened still applies while in overload and the 5% damage is good outside of overload

You are right about sharpened, hence why I said any two sharpened one hander will do. I don't PvP on my sorc, so I don't have any damage spells on my overload bar. I use it as a buff bar, for lightning form and liquid lightning and surge, them I switch to destro for force pulse, like most PvE sorcs.
I just wanted to point out the most you would be missing is 5% damage. Is that percentage worth paying like 10 times more?( I picked up a sharpened maul for 100k).
Again, this build looks like a PvP build. I have no input on that.
Well SRIBES I'm glad you posted it because I learned a bunch of stuff. I'm still confused about how typical PVP rotations work in this game.
From what I read on the forums everyone makes it seem like Shuffle / Stamina folks are un-killable FOTM people and that Sorc can't do anything except spam shield. I feel like as a noob player, this is probably false, and I'll be able to kill a ton of people. But, when it comes to designing my end game pvp build I'd like to understand why you made some of the choices you made so I can do a better job at fleshing out my build, like I would have had no idea about the Clanfear thing without your comments. So please don't stop.
Second - You seem knowledgeable, how effective is CC in this game? With the ability of Shuffle to chain break people out of snares and high stamina toons being able to break out of CC so easily is there even a point? Are any of our hard / soft CC's effective against the shuffle meta I'm reading about but haven't experienced yet?
