UPDATE 2: Issue has been resolved by switching my privacy settings from Custom to Adult. Not sure if the name change had anything to do with it.
UPDATE: This error is showing for ALL of my characters when I attempt to send in-game mail.
I first started getting this error yesterday evening when I did a combo of a race change and name change on my Nightblade. She went from a Wood Elf to a Khajiit and, as the lore for naming kitties goes, I had a name with an apostrophe in it to separate the prefix of her name from the body of her name.
Error starts that evening when I attempted to send a mail to a guild mate.
Put in a ticket and have been corresponding with someone today who told me that sometimes it causes issues and sometimes it doesn't - in my case it does. I was given the option of a free name change which I took thinking that things would smooth out once that damn apostrophe was gone from my character's name.
Renamed the character again to a name with no special characters at all. Log in a fix up a mail to send to a guild mate.
"You cannot communicate with other players."
Is this an issue with my chat settings, then? I'm baffled and frustrated. Any help would be appreciated.
