Idk about anyone else but sometimes i have to hit this 2 to 3 times just for the proc to catch a enemy even ontop of me. Any reason why possibly or anyone else have that problem?
I don't get the scarlet haze animation to trigger a lot of times if I am in a medium/high player density environment. I try and go by the audio cue but there can be a delay so I end up double triggering the fear.

There's been a few times I use a CC ability that the animation doesn't show up, but if I watch carefully can note that the CC is taking effect. Seems more of a lag issue that any thing. But there are still times where I'm asking myself if my CC ability even worked or not. Or sometimes I with use a CC and it'll effect a few enemies but not all, which is highly frustrating.
I love fear and have used it most often throughout all my nightblade playing until recently I switched to using agony morph prolonged suffering. Allows you to control the fight easier small scale and you can drop someone's block right before your meteor hits from range. With Melee nightblade fear is obviously better but go ranged and give agony a try I like it a lot
OP is talking about something that has popped up only recently. You can be right on top of an enemy who is not immune to CC, fast Mass Hysteria and nothing happens. Two years of spamming Mass Hysteria and only in one of the very last few updates/patches, it regularly 'misfires'.
It also happens very regularly to Death Stroke. Animation and sound play, nothing happens.
Huh I have to try and break free of fear 2 to 3 times before it works, usually dead before then. And even when my character breaks free, abilities don't react for the first second.
This single ability is hands down thee most frustrating ability to come across in all PvP. (Okay maybe RD is up there with it) And God forbid you don't have the stamina to actually break free cuz that's a guaranteed death. Unlike my 2 second crystal frag. Or my second and a half streak -__-
Dunno if fear now misfires but i know for sure that breaking it free is broken. Skill as it is now is good, but animations conected with it are far from being ok.
