How do you level up Warhorn?

I ran it today in dungeons but it didn't go up even a notch, do I have to use it in PVP only?

You can level it like every other skill. But the original alliance war skills (Warhorn, rapid, caltrops, barrier, siege shield, purge) require a lot of xp to rank up.

OP, stupid question, but was Warhorn on the bar you were getting kills on? You only get EXP for the active bar.

For this reason you may wanna slot it on both bars, just to be safe.

It has to be on the active bar that you have equipped when earning the xp. Put it on both bars and it will level up each time you earn xp.

I think you are kidding, but just to clarify, this is not skyrim. Using a skill does nothing to level it. I would double slot it until its leveled. You can certainly pop an XP pot and grind for a while. Warhorn for whatever reason takes some time to level. Which is weird because you can level prox det in about 10 seconds.

Best way to do it. Slot it on both bars. Wait until you get your enlightenment and run a random dungeon for 347k XP. It does Warhorn level 1-3 in 3 runs and 4 on the 4th if you're lucky. Then it's about 8 days random with enlightenment for levels 1-4 aggressive. Takes ages but it's what I did. Better than slotting something useless for grinding.

On my healer I remember having to use it a lot to make it budge I spend a few silver pledges just using warhorn ult and chasing ogres around wrothgar in between using it too.

I put it on my backbar, right before boss dies in rando, dungeons I swap to that bar. do the samething when turning in daily pleges and keys. it WILL take a while.

I use a "bar build" for training. Anytime I have a turn in like bounties or whatev. I put all my unfinished trains on the one bar, then do the turn in. Then back to my regular layout till the next turn in. Huzzah!

There are mods that make this easy.

Grab an xp pot dump all your skills you need to level up quickly on your bar with an aoe and jump into the public dungeons in Wrothgar.

In addition to what everybody here said, make sure it's on the active bar when you turn in quests and pledges.

If you Rt click hover mouse on the skill progress bar, the tooltip will state what's needed to level the skill. I found this out when I thought I had to feed to level Vampire, but the tooltip stated it levels from any XP.
