[SUGGESTION] Pristine Campaign

One of the big arguments to all of the lag in Cyrodiil was the lightning patch/anti-bot codes or whatever, but the developers stated that it's because of each individual player progressing their character's skills, passives, effects and armor set bonuses etc, right?

So imagine if there was a campaign (possibly Azura's Star) in "pristine condition," meaning that every player inside the campaign gets all of their passives disabled (except the passives in the 3 class skill lines(?)) and also their armor disabled, and the Battle Spirit buff could act as armor which would grant physical and spell resist, crit resist and obviously max health, OR the way low level's stats are scaled, every player could potentially have their stats scaled like that, but Champion Points would be enabled? just a few ideas...

    Azura's Star IS pristine with regards gameplay. The champ point system is a great contributor to the low frames, and if I had to choose which to play with, my gear and passives, or my cp's, I would rather have my gear and weapons. Besides, it's sets, skills, weapons, passives, and the passives of others in groups you run in, that create diversity, not champ points. Champ points are almost pointless in many regards anyway. Everyone dumps as many points as they can into resistances, while also pumping damage as much as possible.

    In the end CP's are only really useful for allowing players totally forget about recovery issues, and for having a statistical advantage over players with less points. People are actively choosing this over smooth gameplay. You can bring a horse to water.....

    It's actually not a bad idea.

    One of reasons I think AZ performs better is that all the CPs are disabled.

    Fair enough and good point, then maybe if this "pristine campaign" had no CP as well then. At first I was going to suggest a campaign that stripped your character naked and gave you a basic set but I weren't sure about that idea so I just thought maybe disabling everything could work, but I actually never knew that Azura's performs well with CPs disabled.. it's just a shame that Azura's is pretty umm.. empty? I think... since a lot of players (Including me) wanted to play on a campaign that had CPs considering that we worked for our CPs and wanted to use them against other players.

    I was just trying to think of a campaign that had mostly nothing just to see how huge the battles could be with possibly no lag. :p

    Actually, come to think of it... I'd rather ZOS go forward with the idea of Battlegrounds; 10vs10/20vs20 maybe even 40vs40 in a moderate sized instance, like the size of 3-4 keeps, with different objectives that involve siege weapons too.

    And probably the last time the blues had this many numbers in there.

    In Thornblade when you approach a keep this busy your FPS just shrivel and die. Look at the amount of AOE! We had to knock 3 walls to make a push in because of all the siege. And this is only a small part of that fight, it went on for ages.

    Just a few days prior to that AS was nothing but freeze frames almost anywhere on the map. Since then nobody can convince me that CP's aren't a major cause of the poor networking, or extremely high traffic I guess we could call it.

    I still have a vid of me being a level 20 something running around light attacking with my bow in BIG ASS keep fights with flawless connection. It can't be a coincidence that as time went on it just got worse. Sure, spells, passives and all that shizz most likely don't help, but CP's can go screw as far as I care, until they come up with a solution I wouldn't care if they were taken out of the game.

    Anyway, battle grounds will be good. Imperial City is quite good for fighting these days though, could certainly be improved but still. As long as battle grounds and arena's are done well, they will be extremely popular. Maybe Zos's plan is to just empty Cyrodiil to stop the complaints.... or maybe they actually 'believe' they can fix the lag and that we will someday have the kinds of battles we hope for..... then again, If trials are having performance issues, what hope does Cyrodiil have??

    performance is great, and no bads can hide behind 501 CP with 100 points in damage they need to 1 shot you and run.
