Orsinium DLC gate will not open ?

I started the quest line about meeting the caravan, now i am in the DLC area but I cannot get back, cannot open
the main gates even though it gives an option to do so.
I want to leave the DLC area and come back later.
Basicaly how do I leave the Wrothgar zone ?
Am I missing something here ?

Washac✭I have no idea what happened there, I logged in today and went straight to the Orsinium Wayshrine, zoomed out map chose the Shjrine to travel to and it worked, some strange glitch yesterday I assume, all good now
