[PC] How's the game doing?. I'm looking to get back into the MMORPG scene,is it worth it?.

I love the TES lore. How's the game doing on PC?. I've seen the game has been out for 2 years already so it's pretty young, did Zenimax said anything about the game life or for how many years they want to continue supporting the game?. And mostly important,do YOU think the game can last some more years?. I'd hate if Zeni would close it next year, let's say.

I believe the game is going to last a long time. It would be very unexpected if the game were to shut down next year. They are constantly adding more content to the game. Despite what people say about the lag and loading screens the game is still really fun imo. Its definitely worth getting back into especially if you like TES and since it no longer requires the sub you can try it out again without having to worry about wasting money.

It has its problems, but in my opinion this is currently the best game out in its genre.

I see no signs of it coming even close to dying.

It has some issues. My personal pet peeve is when ZoS acknowledges something is wrong but takes months to fix it. Armor set bonuses are becoming boring (not the 5 pc, but 2 through 4 are just different combos of the same stuff making it less interesting and less originality).

BUT I do enjoy the game still. There is a lot more positives than negatives. There is lots of endgame content compared to most other games I have played. Some may disagree with me but vMSA, AA, HC, SO, MOL soon to be dragon star arena worth it again, ICP, WGT, and a dozen or so other dungeons scaled to max level, and PvP of course. They could definitely raise the bar and skill level required but it's still fun.

I guess its a crime to enjoy a game that someone else doesn't enjoy.

If you're looking for just questing and story telling or casual group PvE play the game is doing well. They've added fun new systems and quests since launch. The game feels a lot more like a TES game and gives lots of chances to experience lore both the way you know it and in new interesting ways.

If you're looking for competitive leaderboard or quality PvP gameplay there are other games out which do it better right now.
This fault mainly falls on the server stability, game balance and cheating/exploiting.

We know that Vvardenfell is coming some when, as well as player housing early next year. Otherwise at this time all new content is secret.

Yeah, there's a ton of stuff they haven't released yet (Murkmire, Clockwork City, they are working on housing).

But in the meantime, you probably have a lot of stuff to catch up on if you haven't played for a while. :-)

The game will last for sure! I dont know if zeni will. Looks like they are incompetent to support this great game!
Even in small things like loots, rewards, RNG its a big mess for over a year!
The major issues are unbalanced skills/races/classes + conflicts = exploits Just because they are not able balance them for like....2.5 years.
New content its great but....more bugs and conflicts coming always with it, plus lag ,exploits etc. and the same story goes on...

This kind of games lifespan tend to be 10+ year and more importantly I cant see Bethesda giving up ES IP, why? Its simply stupid, would you forget ES after 15+ year and start building some new IP. I dont think so. Instead they just should push forward like ES TV-series, Game of Thrones is popular already.

Despite all the issues it's a great game still. Better than the alternatives. It has some lag and performance issues on PC, even on high end ones, but all that aside it's a great MMO. I usually give it a lot of flak and strong critique, but only because I love it and am very invested in it and wish to see it improved, for the sake of everyone - company and gamers alike.

If you plan to PvE however, a lot of the issues won't affect you that much. The most game breaking of faults only show their face in primetime PvP sessions when a lot of players congregate in a small space.
    Sometimes, I dream about...cheese...

Egonieser - v16 Nord Stamina Dragonborn Wannabe
Endoly - v16 Tiny Redguard Sharpened MaceBlade
Egosalina - v16 Breton Cheesus Beam Specialist
Egowen - v16 Dunmer Whipping Expert (Riding crops eluded her)
(Yes, I had to grind all these to v16)
Akamanakh - lvl 22 Khajiit GankBlade (Inspired by Top Cat)
Targos Icewind - lvl 34 Imperial (Future) Jabplar

This. If you look to do mostly PvE then this game is great, but if you prefer mostly PvPing, then i would suggest to look somewhere else. Here PvP is in very bad state. Very unstable servers, massive lag, many exploits and my personal favorite, you can blatantly cheat without any consequences, even if they catch you in the act which is 000.01% chance, you'll get just temporary ban, like short vacation from the game.

If you want to farm some easy mind numbing content, then ESO is for you, or fish, or fill out support tickets for automated responses saying we cant help you, my good man CHET.

4 man gold dungeons dont even need healers or tanks anymore.
4 man silver dungeons, can be 2 man or 4 dd's if you want super fast run.

Only leaves Maelstrom arena which is repetitive and good luck getting onto the leader boards considering people are using Cheat Engine to get best scores.

Leaves a few 12 people instances that one is bugged can just skip past the boss and the other isnt even worth playing lol

Want to play PvP?, be prepared to cheat and exploit harder than the next boy. How many people squander there time filling out support tickets on the most blatant cheaters, never mind the subtle ones.

This is my view from my direct personal experience over 14 months. Have a google search, read some reviews. ESO forum mods sweep away any negative topic on them, so not much pertinent info will be in these forums.

    I concur whole-heartedly.

The game has its mechanical issues, but for me it has the best content and game mechanics of any MMORPG I've ever played.

I really believe that if they'd get a handle on the lag, this game would be golden for another decade at least. I plan to stay until they turn off the servers.

If you are looking for a fair game played on a level playing field that isn't overrun with cheaters and exploiters, then you shouldn't buy ESO at this time.

If you're looking for a game where the developers and management communicate with the players, and are responsive and transparent, then you shouldn't buy ESO at this time.
