Thank you, but now I feel like an ass lol, as well I should. It was the only thing I could think of that could have possibly been spam. So it was an addon? My account has a horrible track record with that kind of stuff, I got banned twice because I put in a new CPU liquid cooler and it somehow flagged my account as being hacked, so my account was locked, then it's pump failed and I had to get a new one, and it locked it again. This time I get flagged as a spammer, not able to use guild traders, all because of an addon.

Yea, I just recently got my last warning for calling someone a noob. I am pretty sure calling someone a scrub would be a bannable offense too. A noob has been part of an MMO's universal language for generations. I guess this game really isn't rated M for mature.

Yeah, because name calling is Sooooo mature!

I think it was coincidence that this happened while you were telling a joke but on blue occasions the game will boot you for spamming messages (I forget the exact error message) or something but it is actually a system glitch and not a reprimand.

All of my addons embed the NoJoke library which automatically parses chat to detect bad jokes.

Flagged your account as being hacked? Or asked you to enter a code they sent you by email cos the game didn't recognise your PC? Not the same thing.

As a single-player game Skyrim has the opportunity to be one of those "sandbox" types of games whereas all actions cause a reaction and, depending on the action, a consequence. ESO on the other hand cannot afford this luxury so single-player TES games will look more immersive.

True, because ESO is quite "cartoonish" by design, and less detailed because of the technical restrictions of an MMO.

That said, Skyrim's graphical top quality was only reached on a high-end PC, with add-ons. On console it looked average at best, and quite terrible most of the time.

I get what you are saying about ESO being an MMO but the graphics often look forced. But I have played many MMOs that seemed more natural feeling.

In ESO there it often feels like slapped on textures with harsh lines. Even highly detailed stuff looks often looks detached. Often everything seems too obviously number of separate parts rather than joining together visually. Much of it is the lighting too seeming not quite natural.

The more recent DLCs seem better as certainly the art employees get better but it all still feels less like a world and more like a computer game than many other MMOs - whereas Skyrim looks like it had a solid and cohesive visual feel to it.

Also...I dont even want to imagine the PVP lag with Skyrim graphics xD

You said yourself you never played Skyrim, so I assume you're judging from videos. Just be aware, there was a very tough competition between fan-artists, youtubers and video-editors for Skyrim back in the days - and maybe it's still a thing. That means, most videos that you'll see about Skyrim are made with high-end rigs, graphical add-ons and possibly post-processing too. It doesn't necessarily reflect how the original game looks like.

Also, it takes a while playing ESO before noticing the details, clipping issues and get the feeling of "copy-pasted". If you had played Skyrim you'd have noticed the same after a while : there were clipping, joining and bad texturing too. They were restrained by the previous generation of consoles which were already "technically behind" but Bethesda chose to not wait another 1 or 2 years for the nextgen.

    That said...
    - ESO is less natural and more cartoonish - that's an artistic choice.
    - Skyrim was entirely drawn by hand and it's something you can feel, whereas ESO was at least partially computer-generated. Landscapes are less "unique".
    - I'd say in overall that Skyrim was made with more "love", more attention to details and immersion than ESO.

But again, that said... ( ;-) ) : we're comparing a masterpiece with an even greater masterpiece here. If there's one thing that most people actually agree on about ESO, it's that the game is gorgeous.

Yeah, the single player games, at least starting with Morrowind, have tried for a more realistic look. The same thing's true of the Fallout franchise. Looking back on the games all these years later, it's easy to miss, but, for their time, they were trying to look as realistic as possible.

In contrast, ESO is actually going for a smoother, more aesthetically pleasing look. The Dunmer still have those weird forehead ridges that Skyrim added, but they're nowhere near as "weathered." The forehead wrinkles, are gone from the Bretons, the Nords no longer look like they slapped upside the face with a shovel... most of the time.

It's also worth mentioning that, in a real sense, Skyrim is post-apocalyptic. There's the apocalypse with Alduin going on as the game progresses, but it's a world where the Empire is crumbling, and the Dominion is picking its bones. Which, for someone who's only experience is with ESO, probably doesn't realize how much of a shift in tone that was from Morrowind and Oblivion, where there was a single, unified, Cyrodiilic Empire, with a Septim on the Ruby Throne.

We had a guildie that we had to warn about repeatedly using Aids comments and cancer, gay etc, his response was that he'll have to stop having fun and a laugh in guild chat then, he was generally surprised when a good number of guildies put him in his place. It's odd what some ppl actually think is funny and don't realise it can offend.

I just stay away from easily offended people. He should of as well. Not everyone is so thick skinned. To think everyone has the same sense of humor isn't very thoughtful.
