Anyone notice that cloak not only cannot stop a meteor hit (as intended, no worries), but also does the same for other things like WB? It seems a lot harder to cloak out of incoming hits after DB, not just meteor. Is it just me?

Shadow Cloak: Fixed an issue where this ability and its morphs could be used to completely negate the Meteor ability.

You cannot cloak Meteor anymore after DB 2.4.5 patch... however many abilitys are still breaking cloak. Wrecking Blow and ALL gap closer's are breaking cloak. Not sure if intended but it defiantly has a huge impact on the ability, i have yet to see Zos release a statement about it.

Cloak is broken 99% of the time. But at this hope don't expect them to get it working.

Only patch I recall when cloak actually worked was 1.6 and IC patch. Some stuff still broke it but it was way better than now.

Edit: I don't care about not being able to cloak meteor, just random single target attacks.

Don't see why they don't just let us take damage but keep us in cloak unless ground target aoe.

cloak is still preventing frags and entropy when cast at the same time, e.g. frags cast time would finish with hardcast and then 'miss', as far as I can tell it's only melee attacks that gain this new 'perk' (and meteor I guess)

yesterday a stamblade negated my cloak with ambush AND crit rush. Used the first to get near me, and since I was running, I got a couple mts beyond his reach, then he crit rushed me with empower.

Gap closers should be reduced to 1 per bar

No need, there are so many good skills (esp for NB) that this is a sacrifice worthy of the reward it gives.

Why? If dks can reflect a meteor at a push of a button why can't I cloak it? Nb are squishy as is. Is it intended or s bug?

you haven t played in a long time I guess, DK cannot reflect meteor anymore, since orsinium

as for the cloack, it was never meant to dodge de meteor they said it would be fixed with DB, well it has been done =(
and for the gap closers, i think that s just a question of timing or something like that, but I also think that you have to take in consideration taht the magicka NB gap closer does AOE, and for example the execute from the 2h can also be morphed in an AOE.
But yeah, it is very difficult to cloack in a fight, 1on1, it is possible, but requires timing, as soon as there is a second opponent, it s over forget it and try to kill one at least ^^

This is intended because of a couple of reason's:

1: Meteor is an ULTIMATE. It's kind of unfair when 2 classes can completely negate the ability (with reflect and cloak), this is no longer the case.

2: Dawnbreaker is now physical damage. Which mean's for magicka user's, Meteor is now their Ultimate of choice. So the ability need's to be much more reliable.

For me as a nightblade player, i don't really care. Blocking the ability and a quick roll dodge already completely negate's it.

I'm good with meteor not being something we can cloak. It would be nice though if I could cloak things that I should still be able to cloak. Nothing about it in this maintenance either. Oh well.

Can confirm from personal experience. Gap closers have also been breaking my cloak sense DB.

Wrecking blow has a certain point in the animation where if you are still an eligible target at that time, you're getting hit.

Behind the caster and cloaked? Lol, nice try. This forward swing will get you.

It's super annoying on a destro magic nightblade. It's making it really difficult to kite opponents because everyone will just spam gap closers on you until you. Sometimes my cloak breaks for no noticeable reason also

It comes down to that that even weapon swings breaks cloak. Wont even talk about lightning staff

Cloak never works because they keep changing it to assuage the constant whining. The constant tweaks inevitably break the code, so we never have a fully functional cloak. It's good for sneaking around, but once in battle, it can be more of a liability as a magicka sink than anything.

Yep, unless you're a Magplars hood luck actually escaping with cloak. Of course, there have been times on my stamblade I was able to get a distance away and crouch...only to have combat bug and be seen.
