Balance in ESO (Might be quiting the game)

Well its been almost a year since ive played this game. Capped out on cp points, and have a ton of achievements. I like playing a skilled class vs OP classes that i feel people exploit. And there is exploits in pvp. Im still going to play a bit and with dark brotherhood comming out for sure. And see how this works out. I honestly feel like Zos does not really care about this class and especially balance. Im great pvper and i dont lose to people with great skill i lose to people with OP builds that i cant come back from. My stats or really good as a stam sorc. Still its not working unfortunately i would like to see more balance in the game. For Stam sorcs, 2h is our only true dps ability and is super counterable. I need balance and with arenas comming out 3rd quarter we really suck lol i hope Zos can up our skills not make us OP but just have more options then 2h. I dont know where this game is going now, seems like everybody watches twitch and finds the good builds and runs the same stuff thier is no original builds. Thier is a cap on Spell and Physical resistance but but none on damage. And people on the PTS finds what works to burst them down in 2 sec then even with heavy armour builds. I guess im just kinda disappointed becuase i just want to play skill over builds.

What do you guys think... balance is key in this i feel. But is Zos is trying to stay more Pve then i gotta go i like plating against actual people.

Thanks for any input

If they didn't care about class or balance they wouldn't have made all the changes they have over the last two years.

They care about it, they just don't always get it right and there is a lot to do. Remember when this game launched there was no concept of Magicka vs Stamina, it was just cool skills that you used.

We as players pushed the game into the area it is today with min/max builds and Magicka and Stamina being separate things, they're doing all they can to keep up with us and our builds, it's normal FOTM gameplay.

As for exploits there are some which should have been deemed exploits a long time ago and people actually punished for abusing, however with so many people screaming that everything which beats them being an exploit the water is so muddy as to what is and isn't one now I would imagine it's hard for ZOS to know what they should enforce (although they should really get off their butts and do something soon)

    Shokase you so cute :P

I find stam sorcs have plenty to use, silver shards is powerful as heck and its getting buffed in the next patch. I also am a huge fan of sword and board. The pets are alright to. Like using the clan fear to heal. Encase is also nice.

Everyone always crys about two handed but thats a personal choice. You can win with the other weapons. It just involves more because they don't have a 50% execute.

Honestly id like to play 60% skill 40% build. I do agree that they didnt think it get this big and have made alot of changes. I just feel that to them they employ people that look a tthis as a job and not having no passion for it. If there was passion we would really see it. Some other games have it and thats really attractive to see there communitys come to together and help one another.

Also if they didnt think it would get this big they really need to sit down and see where this company is going becuase they are going to have alot of competition in the next 6 months. It all starts at the core the dev team and do they really have a passion for this, or is it just another job. And they shouldnt keep up with us we should keep up with them. If i had a job like that id be passionate about it and im 35 year old Business banker at Well Fargo id love to have that. Granted its hard work but if you dont look at it as work its not lol

@Shokasegambit1 have you watched ESO Live? You're telling me Wrobel has no passion for what he does?

The problem is they're taking the game in their direction and trying things which players don't agree with, thus everyone comes and complains they're doing it wrong. Granted there have been some terrible choices made in regards to balance but it's not like they're not trying no care about the game.

They have shown they have a passion for the game and want to make it better, but they can't make everyone happy and a majority of the players posting on the forums only seem to care when their "I can pwn everyone" builds are being changed or that the changes made don't cater to their exact play style.

We don't know the inner workings of ZOS and there does somewhere seem to be an issue with their structure which stops a lot of what's expected from an MMO company (open communication, rules enforcement, faster fixing of key issues etc.) however I would never say there is no passion from them or that they don't care.

It isn't really that ZOS doesn't care I feel there's a lack of focus but reading the patch notes just have me asking wtf most of the time.

Having passion maybe in the wrong or right direction is key. Elder scolls have been a pve game since 94, obviously. At the same time evolving, the game to the next generation of game play is vidal for the future of comapnys and business. Elder scrolls pvp is looking to be really huge and not saying its huge now cause it is. Passion for pve Absolutely passion for pvp very small. I understand they cant make everyone happy it comes down to numbers casual gamers get the benefit while the hardcore gamers get the shaft. Im saying bringing more skill in the game vs pushing 1 button (is that a play style now) it is not that difficult. And that goes for anygame the more you play the better you get. I would say passion in the the pvp department. Maybe thier should be 2 departments pve and pvp. Im sorry i guess im looking at both sides business and consumer. But if they dont evolve fast, im sure its bad for both.

I guess being 35 years old, it took us gamers a while to be good at something when we where kids. And we wore that badge honorably, and got respect from other gamers. Alot of these kids now get upset when they get beat by a skilled player and whine about it to Zos or blame it on something else. Sure i die alot but its not bye skilled players. But i guess thats where the skill 1 button build comes in lol sounds like BS.

If they would only be able to fix the lag, this would solve a lot of issues. Right now some players just have to press a few buttons and get AP, no contest.
