60% of voters are 400+ wow. It would be good to know what percentage of the actual playerbase are 400+. Doubt it's anywhere near the same percentage. Just goes to show that forums don't represent most players and are generally the more dedicated types.
Explains a lot why the forums often seem to be very opposed to some of the changes the devs make. They make changes based on metrics we will never see.

I know it's always like that in MMO's. I think it's maybe even worse here, as console players seem to be very rare here, but are quit a sizeable portion on the playerbase.
If the name-tags go live in the same format as the PTS, we'll soon know exactly how many CPs everyone has.
I was amazed to see how many players are running around with 1000+ (made me feel like a slacker with my measly 460-something).
I don't look at the forums religiously, but I'm surprised there hasn't been more fuss about CP count becoming public (even this poll was made private to keep others seeing how you voted).
I am at 504 or so right now. My 4 of my 5 VR Alts are near getting another point, so in about an hour I could have 508.
If they do in fact give me another 40 points for my VR16 rank, I will be at the next cap when DB releases. After that, with the changes to Mob Experience, the only way I will get any more CPs is by questing on my VR1.
I thought they weren't raising the cap for DB? And remember that you won't be questing on a VR1 after DB, you'll be questing on your lvl50/cp504, they will earn XP just the same as all your other vets.

I'm thinking of all the abandoned characters that are dead in the water... They have a low CP threshold, they never attempt and complete endgame content... How much do those 'dead souls' affect ratios and statistics that ZOS sees?
Oh how much I wish even fraction of this kind of data was publicly available - ratio of new players, % of currently subbed ones, medium CP amount vs medium CP amount of those who logged i at least once within past month and so on. I feel like that will help advance player base accept otherwise questionable decisions so much easier!

Thats because zos includes the cp average of players that play once a week or dont even play anymore. They need to base it on the "actual" eso players.
According to my projections, I will be at the CP cap for.....
... the rest of this game's existence.
Seriously, look at those survey results. 40% of the player base is waiting for them to raise the cap. They said they were going to in DB, but chose not to (at least as of today). That means 40% of us will not see any form of "progression" for at least the next 4 months, and that's not even factoring for the # of months which many of us have already been at the cap.
On a side note, I didn't expect them to raise the CP cap during the same update in which they removed veteran ranks. If they did, I can imagine a great number of things that can go wrong, and I'm certain we'll see a great deal of issues anyway. The underlying point is still valid, however, in that progression in this game is all but completely halted. Even the newest trial gear is considered at best equally powerful as the stuff we've had access to for 3 months now.
