Yes this thread is about the guard skill in the support skill line and me personally I am loving it is making my job as a tank easier against archers and mages in dungeons. Turn it on let it do its work and intercept arrows and magic spells with out even needing to taunt them. But one of the problems I personally see with it the whole no stamina regen while it's on.

Like why ? It's a skill that can be a great skill for tank players. So come on ZOS allow stamina regen during it...... Along with stamina regen when blocking...... when wearing 5+ heavy armor though.

So I heard to be a single target skill guarding a ally you target which is meh idea ask me. Like the whole AOE warp space thing plus how would that work in PvP if you can only "guard" one or two allies in PvP ?

IDK but I imagine it would be helpful to start with protecting the healer. I know fights will be a lot short when I focus on keeping the enemy healer as CCd as possible.

Still don't know that the change will make me want to use the skill any more than I do now. I wanted to try it once when I was pushing a tankyness on my DK(that I use mostly to play random fun builds not min-max), but the cost seemed too great since I wasn't focused on getting 3k Stam regen. It does sound fun and I'd like to see what it looks like. Might have to see if I can get it working before they change it.

Looking for broken things in hopes they may be fixed. I've given up, my game literally works differently from yours.
64M+ AP across 9 toons... kinda makes me a GO

My point like all I am saying is stamina regen while its active would make the skill alot better that or reduce the cost of intercepting projectiles even more or something.

I don't disagree. I was just chiming in. I don't use it/haven't seen it used and I believe that is because the tooltip makes it sound cost prohibitive. I'd rather it half your regen or reduce the cost too. It is an interesting sounding skill, but *insert "the cost is too damn high" meme here*

But I am curious enough that I might figure out a way to try it before they change it.

I use it and as I said in my original post it does help out alot when tanking ranged attacks and mystic guard with its 8% boost to healing received is a nice bonus for healers but as you said it cost way to much to intercept and its morph stalwart guard despite it saying reduce cost and reduce cost for intercepting it is only reduced by like 40 points and as far as I know and tested guard or to say cost of intercepting is not effected by any reduce stamina cost enchantments or CP.

@Forestd16b14_ESO I've always felt this skill was awful. Now that we get no stamina regeneration while blocking its really awful. I don't particularly understand the line of thinking behind this skill and I never did. Its a great idea in theory, but in practice it doesn't give much for what it costs. I think a big start would keep it as it stands now, but get give us stamina regeneration back as you say. The same holds true for blocking though. If blocking itself is too good, I really think they ought to look at raising the value of heavy armor resistance from what it is currently, while simultaneously reducing the value of the shield. This would make blocking with the shield a lot more of a reactive skill anyway, and it would make things fairer between heavy armor and its medium/light counterparts.

I have always wanted to try a DK spamming Reflective Scales with this. The cost on resources is just too much though. At least the skill looks cool!

And when you intercept 4 meteors at the same time and somebody CC you, you will die instantly.
    Because I can!

I sincerely hope this is some kind of joking sarcasm, otherwise I don't even know where to start any kind of explanation.

If reflective scales wasn't bugged it may be a good combo. But reflective scales now drains your resources when you reflect so this is currently not viable.
