Just curious if you have to complete all rounds to get a chance for a weapon drop or is there a chance for a drop each round? A second question is if you abandon the quest do you have to start over?

Weapons can only drop from the last chest.

And there's a huge chance of getting "well-fitted helm of glory" instead of weapon.

Only the final chest can contain a maelstrom weapon. If you abandon the quest, then you will need to start over. But you don't want to abandon the quest now, because you can continue it any time (only on PC atm).

Well there goes my hope of just grinding the first few rounds for weapons!! But it does Make sense that you should only get these weapons for completing the whole thing.
