In need of veteran help

Ok so, I read somewhere that they will remove the vet levels with the TG (ps4).
I have made numerous new characters to try out different classes to see which ones I enjoy the most, and forgot about my VR1 character.
Now the problem is that there are a few achievements you get with the vet levels so I need to get at least lv 6 to grab the seducer costume, before they remove the vets.
I played today the whole afternoon (from 1 to 8 to be exact) and didnt manage to get even a level higher, I am still stuck on vet1, slightly over half of the bar. Normally before veteran levels I would level up around 3 lv per day, now I cant even level 1.
I almost finished Cadwells quests in stonefalls (two left), killed almost every mob in my way, I also did go to Craglorn, grouped up, did a few group dungeons (mobs 10lv highter) for quite a while, tried grinding on The Thief location, didnt work, two hits and it would kill me, pvp doesnt lv me up at all because I just heal around...so, what am I doing wrong?
How can I level up my character?
Any help will be appreciated!

I should also state that I dont own any dlc so trying to lv up in the imperial sewers also wont work for me :(.

Vet levels will still be around until at least Dark Brotherhood drops this summer.

My advice...relax and go back to enjoying ESO ;)

You can level pretty fast by grinding IC sewers if you have the DLC

If not then I'd recommend going to Cracked wood cave (south east of sej) and grinding the last rooms there.

It's tedious and probably quite boring and also runs the risk of having to pvp but if you get ganked you can just go to your guest campaign and hopefully it'll be empty there.

But I wouldn't worry too much since they are removing the Vet ranks in 3 months so there's still plenty of time.

I also don't think they completely remove the costumes, rather convert them to requiring a certain CP amount instead.

They aren't removing VRs with TG. Also, get IC, sewer grind is pretty awesome for leveling up and getting stuff to sell along with.

Don't worry about achievements. Achievements, gear, etc, will all scale to CP levels, wit 160 CPs projected to be the equivalent of vet16 (i.e. every 10 CPs equals a vet rank).

In terms of leveling, remember there is a 5 up/5 down rule. You wont get much XP in Craglorn as it is not scaled and the mobs are mor ethan 5 levels higher than you. You will however get great XP if grinding PvE in Cyro, in IC, or in Orsinium/Wrothgar as these are scaled areas.

CPs, if anything, are your biggest priority, but they come extremely easy now-a-days.

All that aside, I agree with @wldkarde just enjoy the game and focus on the fun.

PvP (running with groups of 20+ for hours, make sure it's a campaign youre alliance owns everything too, more XP) OR QUEST with the above XP bonuses, and grind mobs in wrothgar/public dungeons. It will take a cpl weeks to hit V16 unless you go real hard Id say. Maybe a little quicker.

3 ways to play it really,

Speed through grinding mobs up to 5 levels above you (any more will result in no XP bonus and lots of dying) for a week or two

Grind PVP - I went from V5 to V16 in about 10 days of non stop grinding back when it came out for console, it's doable if you play with large groups, and do ALOT of killing/sieging/repairing/quests they have infinitely repeatable quest's in cyrodiil when you find em, you literally walk in a door, talk to someone, walk out the door kill 2 dremora, walk in the door quest done, rinse and repeat. The downside being other factions can swoop in and merk you if youre not careful

Quest - This is the longest (if you take in all the dialogue) but also the surest way to get XP quick, alot of the quests in this game are easy, and bring you to some neat places believe it or not. If you're a fan of TES, slow down, and just play the game for what it is.

Cyro dailies are not infinite. You can do a total of 50 Cyro dailies per day, with dailies PvE quests, kill players, capture, scout, scroll, etc quests all counting towards this 50

Faster for cracked wood. With xp pots or scrolls it's 1 vet level in less than an hour. Boring as he'll but it sure beats doing it the 10x longer way of questing. PVPing and getting a lot of kills gets good xp too. But you need a good bit of time and a good turn over. Being camped isn't going to be worth it.
