Quick question from a nub

So over the months i have been trying a few different setups for pvp. (Over the stam builds every man and there dog are running.)

Currently on my NB i have kags + torug's with duel swords and resto.

Chest legs helm with infused + prisim gliphs and magicka on the rest with mund stones.

All yellow armor + weapons v16.

Here is my question, i often see peoples streams, vids and screenshots. Often 25k+ health 28k+ magicka and 11-15k stam.
And still pump out stupid amounts of damage with ample sustain.

How are people achieving this?

My NB is wood elf not the best for a magi build i know.. but with the race change coming one day i will hopefully change that. As i don't want the grind to get dets again, so im trying to set up this magi build to tie me ever until such time as i can change.

Current set up gives me a shade over
3.5k spell damage buffed.
20k health
27k magi
and 12k stam.
With no food...

I use drinks as i find even if im being very cautious with my dps / heal rotation i run out of resources very fast. And often find myself having to wait for regens to kick in during combat, often a good 20-30 seconds before they even move. For example say i get down to 10% magicka ... have a pot running.. it just sits their on that 10% for ages or until i leave combat. (Alternatively ... and this is odd as hell. Not using any abilities and out of combat i can watch my magicka go up then down slightly then up a bit more then down slightly. Kinda like being out of combat and using cloak. .. your magicka drops but then jumps back up. But this happens without any abilities being used. UI glitch?)

I have run several repairs of the client.... even going so far as to reset skill + attributes + champ points + remove all armor then doing a repair etc.

Tried using the atronach mund, but then i loose spell power. which in turn means more hits needed to kill people / stuff and then im out of resource and waiting on that regen to kick in.

Yes i do weave light and heavy attacks... but i cant seem to fix this regen issue + maintain the damage others are putting out.

Any thoughts would be nice / suggestions would be helpful thanks.

btw with drinks i get 2050 regen without potions going... + 100 points into magi regen in champ tree + 54 into reduce magi cost on abilities. <
is that my issue should a swap that around?

Try kags with 4 piece magnus I get 2500 magicka recovery and 2650 unbuffed spell damage. My max magicka is 36000 and health is about 22000.i am high elf but you should be able to get close the Stam regen should prove helpful. I use the magic regen max health drink.

As you mention, your biggest handicap is likely running a stam race as a magic build. I think of it this way - how many CPs would a wood elf need to spend to get on equal footing with a zero CP Breton in terms of magic racial passives? I count approximately 175-225 CPs. That's pretty dang significant.

I think a magic bosmer (or khajiit) are always going to be a bit like 5' 11" basketball players. Just have fun and don't stress that he isn't Michael Jordon.

But in terms of making the most of his handicap, the best I can think of would be to run Twice Born Star. A second Mundas is likely the most powerful option to bridge the gap.
