As an early release player - and someone who has both managed a full raid group - and small group 12 man farming the zerg ballers....I can tell you that the PvP of this game reached it's zenith about 1 week before the lighting patch.
Since then - it's been a death spiral.
I play on a small server currently as my 10-14 man group is working out kinks - getting geared - and relearning the game. I was hoping to find a server where the zergball was not something that we HAD to do - but could do if needed. Unfortunately now though it seems whoever has more people is just bound to win. That's really too bad. Very little tactical combat in this game now.
I would love it if there was a Cyrodil where 12 man groups was the max - and AOE caps only counted PER GROUP. So if people started running 3 12 mans balled up they could get train-wrecked.
