Seiging: too easy/fast/unstoppable?

It feels like the sieges have become faster and faster, and ridiculously easy. I can work three siege engines from inside walls on one enemy siege and never take it down. Wtf? And if assailants get five sieges up, the outer wall is down in two minutes. The keep will fall five minutes later.

And ZOS is announcing soon making siege engines...more powerful??

The laughable ease of taking keeps is why all we do in Azura's is fight between Sejanus and Nickle. It's getting pretty freaking lame. Make it tougher and longer to take keeps - this will allow for more defense to come in and wage epic battles instead of this piddly stuff we have now. And make offensive sieges VULNERABLE. if someone parks a catapult three feet from the wall, they and the catapult should die horribly.

    They aren't making seige "more powerful" from what I understand the seige will just do what it's suppose to against players. Unless there is something I missed, the only change would be player based

    Agree. They are making siege more powerful against players. So fire, oil and meatbags will do more damage to players or not be purgeable, or both. So players siegeing a wall will need to move when getting counter-sieged, whereas currently they don't. This will have the effect the op wishes for by slowing down sieges on keeps/outposts.

    They're buffing NPCs and Siege, so it's going to be a long day on the frontline.

    With the new buff's to siege incoming, people trying to take a keep are going to have a much harder time. There currently is no siege resistance, i stand in siege without even a care in the world.

    After the new siege damage and new effect's are added... it's gonna a rough ride. You think people will have all the siege just pointed at the wall like they used to? If they do they will be in for a rude surprise with certain death.

    I can't wait. Keep battle's are gonna be like the good ol day's! Exempt no broken cold harbor.

    Yup they should have added player collision like they had in Warhammer Online.

    in PVE and in PVP players on the same faction did not have player collision unless a enemy player was nearby, so you couldn`t use collision to grief players on your faction by blocking doors, quest givers etc.

    However if an Enemy player was within 200 Ft. you would have collision, allowing you to actually set up a tank wall, at Castle Breech to Defend the Castle better in order to prevent the enemy from just running in as soon as the wall or Gate drops,

    something this game is really lacking, it also prevented players from running through enemy players to cancel out line of sight Spell attacks etc.

    Thanks for the input everyone...this does sound like it's going to make seiging harder, which is what I want to see.

    Me + 3 different siege engines on tower + 50 reds/blues below = APAPAPAPAPAP...

    Next update.

    -Siege weapon be what they were pre-IC. Meaning you can actually stop a zerg now.
    -Don't know about any guard buffs ask some one else for that.
    -Forward camps are returning but have a much smaller radius to the size of a keep and will cost ore and respawn less.

    That's what they said, it because of the new VR cap and gear from Orsinium and IC that have screwed up the numbers.

    Hopefully with these changes you would be able to properly take out players with well placed siege weapons.
