Crushing Shock being reflected

Cure4theEn3my14
I was playing my Sorc and when I would use Crushing Shock against a DK with reflect up I would get a reflected alert. I believe I had this happened with the 1H&S skill as well and ended up stunning myself. Just want to know if anyone else has experienced this recently and if it's a known bug or not.

CS has always been reflected. It is not a bug.

What exactly do you think is bugged? Crushing shock can be reflected (same as any other ranged magic skill) and one morph of the 1h/shield skill stuns you when you are hit by a reflected projectile.

I don't remember it ever being able to be reflected before today. I don't think it's ever been able to be reflected, but I'm not 100% sure about that. Plus, I wouldn't consider Crushing Shock to be a projectile either (which is what are supposed to be able to be reflected in my eyes). I have always assumed that Crushing Shock should act the same way as Curse or Magicka Detonation.

CS Has ALWAYS been perfectible... it is a magical projectile . like crystal frag and such ..
Sometimes the real enemy are the one who moderate it.

The animation looks more like a beam to me, Im not sure what you mean with a big ball of lightning, Overload perhaps?

Fact is that CS always has been reflectable, even though the animation doesnt look like a projectile.

I think it does count as 3 hits towards the DKs reflect with has a 4 projectile limit per cast. CS weave + cfrags usually works against DKs because they dont recast their reflect right after the CS weave.

The problem with CS is that as @Septimus_Magna pointed it counts as 3 projectiles and it eats 75% from dk reflect. If it is weaved with light attack it is 100%.

If it counts a projectile (which is debatable) and is reflectable then it should definitely count as 3 hits.

In my opinion it should not count as a projectile because the animation looks like a beam which is not be reflectable.

The fire staff attacks, overload light attacks and crystal frags are clear projectiles for example, those should be reflected.

Really?. It shouldn't reflect it it's a beam not a projectile. least that was the impression i was under. great, so that means i only have curse and the terribly expensive streak to deal damage to DK's.... that's gonna take forever.

You can hit DKs with cfrags if you CS weave them first because the 4 hits de-activate the reflect.

Dawnbreaker of Smithing and Soul Assault (to some degree) are also pretty effective if used right.

Thank you all for the replies. Truly never noticed that it was being reflected until yesterday. Personally, I don't think it should be reflected, based on the animation, but it's not really a big deal. I just wanted to make sure it was a bug.

nope all three CS attacks count as one attack in total so they still have two reflects left (when weaving).

Ranged magic skills have always been able to reflect with either 1h&s defensive posture or DK's reflective scales.

I've got to disagree with everybody saying that CS looks like a beam. Resto and Lightning staff heavy attacks are beams, Radiant Destruction is a beam, Soul Assault is a beam. CS is a projectile with a tail, like meteor or frags.

    Wrong!

Crushing shock counts as 1 projectile when hitting scales from a dk.

Crushing shock has always been a projectile based attack and has always been able to be reflected by s&b or scales from dk.

I think the problem is, when crushing shock is reflected, I don't think you see the animation get returned to you. So people just assume it landed, or notice later on and think it's a bug.
When spells like cfrags or meteor is reflected, you god damn know about it.
