Piercing Javelin(Morphs) & Defensive Stance

So Defensive stance skill says: "Bolster your defenses to reflect the next spell projectile targeting you back at the caster and stun them for 3 seconds"
HOWEVER,
I was fighting a magicka templar in Cyrodiil and he threw one at me, defensive stance was up and it was not reflected..
This got me thinking,
Would a magicka templar use a stamina morph, I dunno....
Is the magic morph of this skill reflectable?

✭✭You should be able to reflect the magicka morph, but the stamina morph can only be reflected by dragon scales.
It's possible that a magicka templar uses the stamina morph, as the magicka version is a simple knock back and the stamina morph also stuns the target for 3 sec.0 -

Yup, likely the case. Luminous shards doesn't have a hard cc. In fact it's disorient, which is like a fear except your enemy is stationary and only duration or dmg will break them out of it.
