Possible additional PvP objectives?

So while skyshard hunting in Cyrodiil last night, my group and I went into a good number of delves, houses and churches. I've never really taken the time to actually look for some of the shards that were definitely off the beaten path and was amazed at how awesome some of these areas are in Cyrodiil. The entire time I kept thinking to myself how fun it would be to have fights in the countless little huts, ayelid ruins, grand church rooms and even the delves. Jumping over tables, hiding behind columns, shooting from balconies and utilizing choke points in hallways would all add new tactics to fights. I understand IC was an attempt at doing this, but with the constant mobs running around it is more of a PvE zone and doesn't really have to feel of "small scale".

Small group fights in these ALREADY IN PLACE areas would be so much fun and split up the monotony of the constant siege warfare. Honestly, putting simple timed objectives (like dolmens, or wells) in these areas would attract many players that are most likely in smaller groups (I hope) and bring back some of the much needed small scale that is so minute now in today's meta. I'm obviously always going to want arena based combat (ex WoW addict), but these beautiful small scale locations have BEEN there and won't need much work to implement at ALL! If ZOS truly believes Cyrodiil should be the main pvp spot, why not add smaller spots inside that actually reward players for completing them? Thoughts?

    Absolutely agree.

Some times I walk into unrelated houses, chat with NPCs, dig through their belongings etc. Very cool environment with absolutely no reason or no possibility of contact, which is sad.

With No small scale PvP there is absolutely NO reason to build a well rounded PvP build.

With a zerg to your back, if run low on health, resources etc you just back up a few feet and let someone else take the brunt till you go back to the front. It has completely removed any reason for a DPS to manage resources, a healer to have DPS, etc.

Its just fling wut you can, when you can and count on someone else to make up the difference.

If you had small scale we would have a reason to build well rounded characters.

To me there is far more of a reason to build a PvE type character that does PvP as well (as the massive numbers will make up the difference)

When I was 1v1ing I had to manage resources, keep up defenses, cc and move plus dps.

In this massive pvp, i just spam moves not even caring whom I hit, just watch the bounty counter go up.

Hopefully after or during theives guild we can get some small scale. If you were to keep AP low but have reward items, Cyrodiil would not lose players and then we could have some focused PvP.

Exactly! The lack of small scale is directly affecting the skills (or lack thereof) players have. This just makes the game less competitive and in turn affecting it's replay ability. I like competing, as I am sure the ENTIRE pvp community does, and as of now the only thing to compete for is to see who has the biggest group and/or the easiest play style.

Yes, more AP rewards, bonuses from these new objectives, and the possibility of running into groups LESS THAN 24 people would give the current game a breath of fresh air.

Much more easily would it be, to simply take a scroll in one of those places. I personally have witnessed such a thing, where one of our allies (?) went to Bruma with it and just waited there. Crazy ish went on there for some time, I can tell you .

It's always up to the community first, although developers can put in some incentive. But don't expect too much exclusively from them, we need to be creative. Some already started dueling tournaments, in the same way other PvP events can be arranged, so it can work. Just do it yourself!
You reveal yourself best in how you play.

I've already done everything you have mentioned lol. I have a dueling guild and run tournaments every other Saturday. The problem is that it is USER created where as 90% of the games population wants the GAME to give them stuff to DO i.e. Dolmens, Bosses, Keep Captures etc.

Hosting PvP events doesn't really let you "compete" per say. There is nothing you "win" from dueling players. Sure you get to test builds out and brag some but it's still nothing like raw and random combat. Cyrodiil is awesome don't get me wrong, and you CAN win something by getting emperor (but that's it!) but there is nothing wrong in expecting an area where you may or may not run into lone players on a consistent basis. ESPECIALLY in game this size. As of now, that is NOT the case. Sure you have your questing hubs, but the majority of the players there are uninterested in fighting and don't put up a fight anyway.

Heading into a small objective solo/duo/trio KNOWING you're going to run into resistance that wants the SAME objective as you makes the fights that much better. Resources basically take up this spot atm but they are always in the open and are prone to zerg tactics. I am only suggesting using the already available smaller areas to implement these things and bypass this whole "instanced pvp" that IC showed was a flop. I'm a huge arena fan but I understand the fighting should stay in Cyrodiil. Split up the PvP population, and it dies. This is just an easy way to kill two birds with one stone by keeping the zergs happy and letting the soloer's do something else besides gank stragglers.
