Gearing Up From Just PVP?

Is this a viable option? I'm punching myself in the kidneys after I hit v1 and thinking about just grinding off PVP.

I understand that there's alliance points gear, is that as good as pve gear?

While you may not achieve best in slot gear from PVP, don't think you have to reach endgame to learn how to PVP.

You can get some stuff, but you won't be able to get top end gear until Orsinium. (Akaviri motive sold by PvP vendors)
