I'm a little fuzzy on the timeline for exactly when that happened, so I could be wrong, but I thought Dagoth Ur woke up some time after ESO. Again, though, I'm fuzzy on that detail, so I could totally be wrong.WarrioroftheWind_ESO wrote: »I think this (ESO) time period is about the time Dagoth Ur awakened and began gathering his forces quietly, only being discovered when the Tribunal tried to replenish their powers.

You're right. I looked up a timeline and it's at least 3-400 years ahead. Well that throws THAT theory out the window.
Unless they do that 'split timeline" thing that I think GW did between the original and GW2, I guess it wouldn't make sense to write in Vvardenfell just yet.

Also according to the timeline of the 3rd era circa 414..the Vvardenfell territory is finnaly opened to imperial settlement so if zenimax does do anything they need to watch out for that small detail.

Despite my fear of how ZOS might make Vvardenfell, I have to admit I am surprised it wasn't included in the original game or one of the first expansions. Even more surprised they didn't include Solstheim.

Its not a remake. Every game is from the same universe, same world and same continent.
I dont see you complaining about High Rock or half of Skyrim being in the game. Skyrim by far one of the most famous TES game out there. Ive met my fair share of TES fans that didnt start with Skyrim look at me funny when I bring up Morrowind because they either never played it or they didnt know it existed.
I personally enjoyed Morrowind. But because the game was good doesnt exclude it from an MMO based in another time that is going to continue to add new areas of the Tamriel map so that players have new places to explore and level. Im not even going to get into the debate that the game was a 'classic' or great. Only thing I ever remember enjoying about it was the sheer amount of freedom and customization with mods.
Theres no 'bastardization' as it wont be in the same time period. The locale known as Vvardenfell in ESOs time is a protected reserve.
Indeed... though I for one would love it if they did make Vvardenfell, and if the player character got a chance to enter the red mountain, and maaaayybe kick off a chain of events that a few hundred years later would result in Dargoth Urs reawakening...nimander99 wrote: »As you can see though, Dagoth was pretty chill during our time

That sounds a bit like ESO!Cyrodiil.Vvardenfell in the time of ESO is significantly different from Vvardenfell in the time of Morrowind, with much less "civilization" and much more wilderness and nomads.

While I appreciate that you can take a post obviously directed at Zenimax and inject yourself into a decision-making process in which neither of us are actually involved, it would be fantastic if you would contructively explain why you would want to see Vvardenfell in ESO rather than spending your entire post attempting to tear down my post, which was my personal opinion.

Anyways, I loved TES:Morrowind, while I did start on the Elder Scrolls earlier, Morrowind was the one game that made me a eternal TES fan. And as such, I would just looove to see it done in ESO, see all the familiar regions from Morrowind in their 2ndEra incarnation... much like we already got for Mournhold from TES:Morrowind-Tribunal.
I think the game would really benefit, just like it benefits from having parts of Cyrodil (TES:Oblivion) or Skyrim (TES:Skyrim)...
I for one would just love to visit Vivec, take a stroll through the telvanni or redoran lands, seek out the ashlander tribes or look at the ghostfence... maaaybe even find a talking mudcrab in a certain location...

and that my friend is the whole entire reason i asked for elderscrolls to make an mmo about 7 years ago on the bethesda forums.
and also, that is what i expected to see when i entered eso.
to see there was no morrowind nor Vvardenfell nor anything morrowind in it simply blows my mind and im shocked ...

well, i love pvp so, if the Vvardenfell expansion ever did happen, i would hope it would be pvp areas in it. would be so awesome.
To be fair we do have Stonefalls and Deeshan. Which houses Mournhold, city of light, city of magic.
