Damage reduction too much?

This is not a whine thread at all but I ran into a DK in the IC with my magicka templar and I could not kill him I spent a good 10-15 mins trying to kill him he just blocked the whole time I CC him over and over to run him out of stamina and he just never seemed too is perma blocking DK still a thing he wasn't offensive at all and i ended up just walking away because it was too boring perhaps the 50% reduction is far too extreme?

I thought it was just a full tank build until I ran into him with his friend and he just swapped bar and spammed wrecking blows and it hurt!

    A lot of DKs switched to stamina because magicka is more or less garbage nowadays.
    And a lot of those DKs run heavy armor to be tanky and as the only tool of survivability and 2h to wrecking blow people when they get the chance to do so.
    Well, and as you said, he was just standing there doing nothing unless he had help from a friend. So not much of a problem then I guess.

    well...if you want to PvP, play a PvP class. not a PvE healer class.

    magic builds are for healing and PvE.

    STamina builds are for PvP/

    that's the current meta with this patch.

    No, they just need to make the Health attribute relevant to tanking. They need to force the choice of 'balance' vs. Tank vs. Dps. The problem with DPS right now in Cyrodiil is that people can have their cake and eat it too. If the health attribute actually effected the numbers of all Tanking abilities, it would revolutionize the game and game balance. If block/roll/sprint/bash costs were cheaper on someone with high health, it would mean that a high health character wouldn't get good regen or be able to spam abilities, but they would be resilient. If High health players got more attribute returns on light/heavy than high Damage stat characters, they'd be more sustainable. The problem is they've changed the original theme of the game systems which were already flawed, and changed the systems too many times. It needs an overhaul. The other solution is to break damage free from stam/magicka at which point what you wear will determine damage output more.

    Try telling that my sorc and my nb. Both magicka. Both perform pretty well.

    Oh wow you really have a hate for blockcasting hm.. so many of your post are about block casting needing a nerf. Even though it's less of a problem nowadays than it used to be. Block has been nerfed enough already.

    And yes, I dream of the day when damage reduction is 35%. Yes, gearing up to v16 does make a big difference. I admit that. But i would still prefer 35% or even 40%. I can live with it at 50% because I have to but it does make for a "different" type of PvP.

    This post wasn't to complain about the DK in previous patches you could be punished for being full defensive with no aggression in this patch you can just sit there and not die because of 50% less damage which in my case was to a class thats dps is not great in the first place.
