I wouldn't care so much if they hadn't changed enchanting runes:
1-vr14 : 1 rune can be applied to a range of 4 levels. Runes can be found in nodes,writ rewards and by deconstructing glyphs that drop from mobs your level.
Vr 16: There is a rune that is only applicable to V16. These runes can be found by buying them from the TV store. I n addition , one of the runes can only be found by killing a specific mob in IC. Or if you are lucky you may buy this rune for 80k gold from a fellow player. No runes can be obtained from glyphs since even though IC mobs are V16, they only drop V15 glyphs for deconstruction.
Let me guess at V18: "To create a V18 rune, you will need to collect 10 rune pebbles. Rune pebbles can only be aqquired by doing enchanting writs.Once you have 10 rune pebbles, you will need to buy mortar from the fighters guild at 25k. You can then combine your pebbles into a rune using the mortar.
Repeat this process 3 times in order to get 3 runes. You will then need a special enchanting matrix, which may drop from a specific mob in DLC x. Then you can combine your 3 runes with the enchanting matrix in order to get ONE V18 GLYPH.
Enchanting matrix pack of ten can be bought from the crown store for x crowns"
Actually I do care becuase ,With the implementation of IC - most craft became grind, grind, grind , grind. I hope it doesn't get worse.

I am actually fine with level cap being raised every one year or so as it is common in MMORPGs. But it is you that promises and keeps say you are going to remove it. Show us some good will then. Be honest and tell us where in the process of the removal of veteran ranks are we now. (By the way, this is what pisses me a lot, you never share real development news. Those DLC or improvement announcements do not count). Anyway, let's get back to the problem here, I swear I will not *** off as long as you tell the truth. The problem with sharing "real" development news is that if, for some reason, something gets delayed or cancelled (who knows what things may have happened or when), ZOS catches flak for "misleading" everyone.
Example, lets say they lay out a timeline for the next 6 months with detailed specifics. We know long term general things like the next 2 DLCS, but I'm talking things like Vet Ranks removals, Barbershop, and other smaller things. Let's say they meet that timeline, but, the barbershop gets delayed a month because, say, there was a major bug to fix, or something sounded good on paper, but doesn't work in reality. It's hard to plan for those kind of situations.
So, in this hypothetical, ZOS catches flak for "lying" to everyone about putting the barbershop in on-time.

I never assumed it wouldn't be part of a future plan either - just that this confirms without a doubt that VR 18 was once included in the development of this DLC - recently enough that a piece has to be removed.
As far as future plans go, the only thing we can be sure of is the company will do whatever they think will make the most money.
I don't get why people are so angry about VRs. I mean...it's the same thing as if they were 50-66. Just a different name. Would people be as upset if level cap were raised to something called level 68?
Not trying to be smart, I just legit don't get it. It's leveling regardless of what it's called, right?

Christ dude get a grip. Every MMO in history worth mentioning has raised their level cap over the years. FFXI WOW Everquest etc. It's fun to progress, get stronger, and theory craft new builds with new gear.
And Matt Firor made it very clear a month or so after release that they'd rather shut down the servers than abandon the subscription model...

I think ESO may end up being a unique specimen. Maybe I am the only one who feels this way, but vertical character progression like vet ranks, and to some extent the champion system, gets old after a while. I don't think it is a bad thing at all if they completely ditch that model in favor of anything different.
If they get rid of the vet ranks, add Spell Crafting, continue expanding itemization, and keep pushing out quarterly content ESO might become an MMO where the fun progression is exploring that massive breadth of options available to refine your own play style.
