Yeah by why does a group of 30+ all slot it now? So cyrodiil has easily 8+ caltrop in one spot?
Just another way to make this a numbers game?

How so? As someone who is playing in small - medium sized groups I think that this patch was good for us as the damage reduction helps us survive against 20 people spamming steel tornado whereas we just instantly died in 1.6 many times. I guess the fix to sharpened maces and nirn contributed to that aswell. Now the trains start using proxdet too but since it takes 8 seconds before it goes off it is possible to react to it. I would say this patch rewards coordination rather than numbers.Lava_Croft wrote: »
Lower damage means longer fights which means increased chances of more people joining the fight. Most of my time is not spent in AoE blobs like yours, which makes it somewhat different. How so? Also, how is stacking caltrops different from stacking prox dets for magicka builds? Not that caltrops even remotely stack in the same way (i.e. they don't stack).

That's because you instantly died and never got the chance to witness this wonder of gameplay design.dwemer_paleologist wrote: »
