Day 1 of ic on Xbox

So lately ive been getting more and more into cyrodiil. last night I stepped into IC I thought let me check this out. coincidently about 7 others from my guild were in the same boat kind of iffy about it. 3 hrs later we are smashing blues getting flanked by reds then the boss comes charging in and everyone scatters like roaches and regroups in another area to continue the slaughter fest. This is the most fun I ever had in pvp ever! I focus as a healer and with the reduced dmg it actually allows me to do damage instead of spamming heals for my group that keep going from 100%-20% hp. now we stay alive longer and have more sustained battles which is way more fun!! if you like pvp at all I recommend it!

Edit: oh forgot to mention not only is it wicked fun I gained 2 cps and 1/4th my xp bar in pvp!! that's amazing ijs
ended day 1 with only 300ish stones maybe close to 400 but was so fun I didn't care how many I lost

    First day.

Its fun! Before I didnt care if I died at all and now I have that thrill of trying keep my rewards but thats the only positive.
Damage mitigation is a tad too high. That being said the mindless zerging is ridiculous and smaller groups cant do much about it. Pre-IC a good group of 4 could stand a chance against a group 2-3 times the size and full of "bads". Now with the innate zerg damage mitigation and high TTK it is nigh impossible.

New itemization sucks hard! I dont care for any of it all. Im basically collecting stones to peddle crap in the traders. The new gear is as useless as a poopy flavored lollipop.

see I found the opposite about the mitigation im a heavy armored healer with high hp ish haha and defenses. tho im vet 12 prob have the most survivability in my guild as a healer. that being said I find myself more often than not tanking 5+ppl and holding them off much longer where as before I would just be 3 shot or insta death from group all using heavy hiting attacks. I mean a vet 14 nb came up to me trying to hurt me I was able to keep him off me and revive my guild leader who had died from him without losing more than 1/2 my hp. I stayed mostly between full hp and 3/4. as he kept saying vash regroup up with the others ill just release. but I was like no I got this and got him up. tho I think the lower levels have it hard say this vet 2 came up to me and started stunning me and wailing on me. my hp didn't move hardly and I was looking at it like aww this one is cute and nuked him.

full disclosure I am not great at pvp but the mitigation does help a lot for average joes to last longer and have a chance of survival

I agree increased mitigation was needed but they went a tad overboard. Dont forget they ALSO nerfed damage on set bonuses. When I logged back in I was down 200 weapon damage.

You also proved my point on the fact that a small group can never stand a chance and this game will basically turn to nothing but getting run over by the bigger swarm. If one player couldnt scratch another who was basically standing still not defending himself for 5 seconds as you stated the they are effectively trying to make this a game of luck or #s and nothing to do with skill.

BTW if you are below VR 14 you are battled leveled to VR14 and have better raw stats than a VR16 with decked out gear. You just wont hit as hard or have as high regen stats.

But yes increased mitigation was needed but just a little less please!!!!!!

I use the seducer set atm till I get the new phoenix set s I don't have any added spell dmg on my armor =p so I wouldn't have noticed that

Keep in mind that VR16 gear is better than VR14 gear. There are some pretty nice dropped sets out there as well, so damage mitigation that seems too much now could seem just right later.

Even with the new gear and 2 levels your STA DPS/ weapon damage cannot be as strong. If you try to get your weapon damage high using only new set gear (impossible btw) you will have no sustain. In order to be as effective in pve you would need a couple hundred more CP's than you previously had.

New pvp especially in memorial reminds me of cyrodiil with much higher population caps and forward camps. I think it's great they have created space from players who want to fight instead of ride around on horses and repair walls.

Yea it seems like a good move on that aspect.
