[Magicka NB] LF build using mainly New Crafted sets

Since all the new pieces of drop-only gear are super hard to get with the correct traits - I am looking for a Magicka NB build that mostly uses the new V16 CRAFTED sets.

High magicka regen with 2k-ish spell damage would be optimal but I don't know if thats doable with only craftables and using the magicka reduced cost enchants on jewellery.

I understand jewellery can't be crafted, but I guess I can use one of the old v14 jewellery sets like Healer or Cyrodil's Light.

I'm curious if anyone would like to share some builds, since I don't see many new Magicka NB builld for PvP for the 1.7 patch around.

You can try these sets: 4x healer (jewelry and 1 armor piece), 4x magnus, 3x torug's pact (v16 weapon is a must because it adds a lot of spell damage). Atronach mundus stone.

Also look at Kagrenac's Hope set, now it adds a lot of spell damage with last bonus.

The improved Kagrenac's Hope 5-set looks promising for magicka builds:
    2) max magicka
    3) magicka regen
    4) max health
    5) double increase spell damage + quicker rez

    Destro/Resto setup:
    • 1x Molag Kena's - shoulder (or 1x Healer)
    • 5x Kagrenac's Hope - infused head, legs and divines hands, feet, belt
    • 3x Healer -jewelry (or Willpower for more damage)
    • 2x Torugs Pact - infused chest + nirn staff

    Result:
    • 4x spell dmg bonus
    • 2x max magicka
    • 2x magicka regen
    • 1x max health

*DW/resto would give around 300 more spell dmg and more health from 1x extra Torugs Pact on the DW bar.

    Mundus stone options:
    • Atronach if you want more magicka regen
    • Mage for extra magicka and damage (NBs have 8% increase magicka passive so the Mage is probably more effective than the Apprentice which gives spell dmg).

    I am personally still using

5x Martial Knowledge: head, shoulders, chest, arms and legs. (VR14)
2x Adroitness: belt and neck (VR12) - This could be moved up to 14 now I guess?
2x Torag's Pact: staff and shoes (VR16) - Weapons have the biggest value for the VR16 upgrades.
    2x Cyrodiil's Light: rings (VR14)

Ideally the drop set from the new dungeons in VR16 should replace Martial Knowledge but as said by OP the random traits and low drops make this a lot of effort for a minor boost.

You can consider replacing 5x v14 Martial for 5x v16 Kagrenac's will give an extra health bonus, more magicka, more resources from enchants, better traits, quicker rez and around the same spell damage (not sure what the exact values are for gold v16).

It will cost a lot of gold / take a long time to farm 120-150 x5 = 600-750 materials though.

    Interesting idea, thank you.

I will have a look at this tonight. It would make me happy as well as I'd love to run around in full Dunmer style armour. Material farm will be annoying but at least it's something I can work for.

Resources are maintained via CP/Class/Race skills, with potions if required.

It is a PvE DD set up as well but works fine for PVP.

Its not fine for PvP, you need to sustain magicka recovery and topping off your spell damage sacrificing so much regen will never work. You will have to all in into a 10 second fight then panic out cuz you wont have any resources left

For a magicka nightblade (I have been tossing around the idea of switching) I would go with the following:

3 Pieces of Willpower (2 swords and a necklace will be fine and cheaper than getting rings) enchant neck with cost reduction.

For the rings there are a lot of ways to go to get spell power.

-- Healer: common, but requires 2 armor, also gives max magicka and regen)
    - Cyrodiil's Light little more $, but just straight spell power
    - Wrath of the Imperium rings now give full spell power buffs too

My favorite right now: 2 V16 rings of Endurance for ~1500 Health and can be enchanted with V16 spell power buffs @~180 spell power each

Of course there are lots of ways with 2 swords and 3 pieces of jewelry to get 3 pieces of Willpower and 2 pieces of Endurance, so get whatever works out to be the cheapest and easiest.

Then for armor I really like 5 pieces of Magnus, and I would do the head and shoulder with Torug's pact so you can switch them out for Engine Guardian, Nerineth, or Molag Kena later.

After you get all that set up use your attribute points and armor enchants to get your Health, Magicka, and Stamina where you like them.

This is my Magblade atm, working really well with 1.7. Though I will only use the new jewellery set. When I obtain it..

    http://www.eso-skillfactory.com/en/build/nightblade/magtriblade-1-7/3415/

    got 2.3k spell power buffed, 35kmagicka, 25khp

The regen is not near 2k though, because I do not need it how I play, mostly solo/double roaming and duels.

Also I must give props to the site I am using http://www.eso-skillfactory.com/en/ best skillcalc atm.

No but they do drop sharpened and the raw stats you can get out of the willpower and endurance sets are higher than anything else you can get right now, but to each his own I guess.

    Listen to this guy.

Also, Willpower swords are an order of magnitude cheaper than willpower rings. Thus are a good substitute in the interim. Also, Endurance set pieces are really cheap as they are "less" desirable than Willpower and Agility right now.

Hmmm mayhaps i could get some suggestions? I'm on console so IC is not out yet but maybe you guys can help me choose the right upgrades? I'm currently running:

    4x martial knowledge
    2x Adroitness (neck and sash)
    2x cyrodiil light rings
4x magnus (heavy chest, medium legs and 2x swords)

What would you guys suggest i change/upgrade once IC drops for console?

    I'm using:
Phoenix x5 (legs, feet, waist, chest, gloves)
    Adroitness x2 (head, neck)
    Torug pact x2 (shoulder, staff)
    Cyrodiil light x2 (both rings)

Probably isn't the best possible set, but I'm definitely having an awesome time at pvp. Have nice control with crippling grasp and with flames staff knock back and nice enough dps + healing with funnel health. Obviously there's a lot more to the build, but I don't have a guide for it nor I'm doing one because there must be better things around. But this really fits the way I play and I love it.
