This is actually a glitch you probably experienced rather than server lag. Hard to tell the difference though isn't it? As for me, first time all day to lag at all and my internet is comparable to a slug.
You have rural local phone company internet too? lol
No it was the same with me all day, I'd have the almost same issue, task manager kill the game or restart my computer, try to log back in and get the same error code several times in a row. Then all of a sudden it let me back in, then several hours later, rinse and repeat. Not just to me but my wife's computer as well.
Ah well, it'll get fixed.
Yes I have U-Verse through AT&T right now. Will change to Suddenlink eventually.
Also - if it is a US outage, why is the PC/Mac EU server (which is supposedly located in Frankfurt) also down?
Zeni - time to come clean with us about the real location of the EU server. (We won't necessarily divorce you if you just own up to it now - we've suspected it for a while because of the poor ping rates, it's just the lying we can't stand).
I can still log on to Steam btw, so this is not a global issue.

I just watched Big Trouble in Little China on Netflix the other day! Which is maybe a little odd considering I've got the blu-ray of it on my shelf...kindbeer23 wrote: »Oh well, is what it is. Time for Big Trouble in Little China on Netflix.

All I know is that when servers are up I'm popping an exp scroll and grinding before everyone else gets on!

Doesn't matter where the player lives. If the outage is in the vicinity of the game's server provider then everyone is effected.

Do you not understand that there is supposed to be an EU server in Frankfurt in Germany. Which is also affected by this outage? HOW??? My query has NOTHING to do with where the player is based, I am asking WHERE IS THE EU SERVER? It is supposed to be in Germany.

He was referring to the fact that EU servers are supposed to be in Germany. If the outage is US only, why are EU servers down as well. I guess this point is void since outages were confirmed for the EU as well.

It was quite clear in my original post about it, sorry you didn't understand.
I still want an answer as to how internet outage in the US is causing problems with a server supposedly located in Frankfurt.

Yes an outage over a solar storm means someone dropped the ball...
