Opinions on templar skill "eclipse"

DarthSeverus394
I dont hear much about this skill on forums or in game, but in pvp I almost have to have this on my bar whether im running healer or dps. From what I can tell it works and isnt bugged. Just shy of morphing it. It essentially puts a bubble around your enemy and reflects any spell they shoot back at them. It can be broken with a break free but a good amount of the time I watch npc tower mages and sorc players kill themselves without me doing anything else. Is this an answer for the one shotting spike dmg sorcs? Am I just getting lucky and over exaggerating its usefullness or do people just not use it? Lookin for feedback. What do the morphs give you? I run a healbot build specifically to help the guild I run with every night cuz they have no healer. I have little to no mobility or escape as a templar so I hit sorcs with eclipse, then knock em down with binding javelin, then rapid maneuvers to get away. (When im being ganked or in trouble.) Is this as useful for others? Ive been swearing by it.

I love eclipse. I've seen a number of unprepared sorcs overload or frag themselves to death and it works wonders on npcs. It also works great on talon/flame lash DKs.
I'm not sure if I'll still use it in the next update, since it is being nerfed to only one active cast at a time.

I use it to solo ressources just put the 4guards in eclipse and jab
Also its a good defense&offense vs sorcs.
Then ther are dks spamming reflect if you cast a meteor on a dk he will most likely just use his wings and feels save. Cast eclipse in the very last moment and he takes the full meteor with the extra damage from his wings works the same way with dark flare and other projectiles

I love how it shares the same immunity timer as other abilities you wouldn't think it would.

I love Eclipse, and the Morph Total Dark when I remember to use it against a caster. In PvE, just apply it to the caster mob and stand there polishing my armor while they kill themselves.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

just what templars need, more nerfs to their already over-nerfed skillset.

Eclipse is a big buggy steaming mess. If you're killing sorcs with Eclipse, they are not likely very good at their job, or you got a lucky shot in. It can be purged and it can be broken free from. Its on the same cooldown as cc immunity, meaning its very random whether you'll fire it or not. In short it needs a complete reworking. I personally think it should require purge only, and be taken off of CC immunity. If a DK can reflect all day long, or anyone with sword and shield can reflect all day long, Eclipse should not be part of any cc cooldowns.

I should point out that Eclipse also has the added bonus of buffing a DK's movement speed instead of countering his reflective scales. That's another point that should be noted. Don't get me wrong I think in theory this skill could be great, and used as a fair counter and counterable, but as it stands it has a lot of serious problems.

Skill will suck in 2.1 since you can only have one active.

It's a good thing ZoS designed PvP to be an AvA format with "hundreds of players on screen" and not 1v1 ...

How does it buff a dks movement speed?
Mine counters scales very well I did not notice most of the issues people claim to have with this skill although the CC immunity and the restraint to just 1 target which I think they made due to the time bomb effect but seriously who used it for that tiny damage?
