is their a counter to this skill, is block the only valuable thing to do when someone hit you with the skill.

Aside from interrupting both morphs in the current patch, block is the only real thing. Although prox is instant cast next patch, and i think inevitable can be cleansed but still taking some damage (needs confirmation).

Pretty sure everyone is going to just run prox next patch.

Everyone runs proc in PTS because in Imp CIty everyone is already close and hugging your nuts. Cast that whenever you have a chance, most people it hits aren't even blocking.

i know you answer a lot here on forums
question so when someone soul assault you or is about use a casting spell like detonation / crystal frag.
at that moment you would have to get in range to bash. which is hard unless you were in closed range to begin with.
or if you or at a distance can you use something like crushing shock to stop them from hitting you

Yeah crushing shock or venom arrow can do the same trick (they both act as a range interrupt), other abilities like invasion or toppling charge should be able to CC them (CC immunity applicable) and stop the animation as well. In a 1v1 it's pretty easy to get in the face of someone casting things like radiant or soul strike, and counter with punishment. Less easy to do when you're outnumbered and you have one or two Templars spamming radiant on you.

8 seconds to go off after cast seems way too long for any burst damage combo so i think inevitable will see more play even with proxy insta cast

If more people used inevitable, it'd give me more chance to interrupt them in combat. So if more people started using that morph, i wouldn't complain. Even with the longer timer for prox, that instant cast is sweet.

I'm using proxi on all classes, excluding my sorcerer properly, which might go back and forth between the morphs.

Either you heard wrong or I misspoke. I'll be using proxi on everything except sorcerer.
