Think ill get it but slot it when im doing small group playDawnbreaker is undodgeable and hit more people than incapacitating strike, the cost is higher tho.
As long as you don't hit vamps the instsnt dmg you will deal is also lower.
And no 20% dmg buff, no heal debuff.
1v1 incapacitating, group Dawnbreaker, solo use what you want

Its useful in small scale pvp because its instant burst, the damage cant be reflected or dodged and its fairly low cost. You need to make sure targets arent shielded for more than the initial damage when you use this though, otherwise the strong DoT wont work. There is also a known bug which adds the first DoT tick to the initial damage if you use annimation cancelling making it even stronger. This skills works well on high damage builds, if you run a regen or tank build I wouldnt use it.
Flawless dawnbreaker is mainly useful for the flat 8% weapon damage increase, only stamina damage builds should use this. The damage itself is oke but significatly less than the other morph because it lacks the strong DoT.
On my high spell damage sorc build (3.1k spell dmg 34k magicka) the highest recorded single target hit of Dawnbreaker of Smiting is 32k damage, this was most likely on a npc zombie but it gives some value to the power of this skill. In pvp I usually hit people for 10-12k on the first hit, vamps get hit for around 16k damage.
