Ex-WoW player hoping to start PvP in the Blackwater scenario. Tips from other ex-WoW players?

I'm hoping to start PvPing soon with a really fun guild in the Blackwater scenario. I've been recommended to hit 15, and go resto staff and sword and board. I'm playing a Nightblade healer.

My question is more related to making a connection between WoW PvP and ESO PvP. Less of "how to pvp in eso" and more "here's what's similar, here's whats hugely different, you're probably used to PoM Pyroing someone from 100-10% never do that!".
I was pretty experienced and had a great handle on it in WoW, but I'm sort of overwhelmed with how PvP will work here! So I was hoping to get some advice from others who were pretty experienced in WoW PvP to help me "get" it!

So if you have any tips for someone who understands WoW but not as much ESO.. throw 'em at me!

Thanks so much for any help!

There are not many similarities imo except for there being more than one way to skin a cat. I'm having a tough time thinking of others. I believe there is a bigger gap in ESO from a well played class to a badly played class. ESO is faster too on average.

Yeah man not much the same imo. That being said analyzing you opponent and capitalizing on his mistakes as if in arena translates well to ESO. More or less the same pvp theory applies.

Forget everything you know about other game combat and embrace the lag.
Then you may master ESO PvP.

I've done a lot of WoW PVP, there are few similarities.
What is the same is that certain builds are vastly superior to others, and certain methods as well.

These cookiecutter builds are pretty well known, others might point you to them for an easy start.

I used to play tons of WoW pvp. Think less WSG or AB and more AV zerg.

You will want to find a group and travel with them.
I'd totally grab a mount. Otherwise you will be running everywhere.
Its ok to call for help if someone attacks you. I can usually handle any 1-1 but I like to call for help from my group just to end the fight.

Unless you are going for emperor its not about you. Its more about your Alliance.

In Blackwater there is no lag. It's actually the only campaign with is fun to play right now.
