I've given up on the Voice Chat. The only time I talk with people is in a group. But that has problems too because not everyone has a headset/mic :-/ But it's certainly better if you do.
Elden Root is a pain. When I go there I immediately remove myself from area chat unless I'm going to sell something. When I'm selling something I only stay in long enough to merch. It was a good idea, but to bad people don't have manners.
P.S. People with Kinects make me wanna strangle kittens
Do you guys ever have the game auto-turn area chat back on? I usually go in to the voice chat option and immediately turn off area chat, then sometimes when I use the wayshrines -> area chat magically turns back on.
So annoying walking into an area to do some crafting and all of a sudden hearing all the background music and people talking loudly because of it...
Breathing into the mic, screaming kids, eating the mic(talking wayyy to close to it), barking dogs, talking randomly just to talk, etc.... all really annoying. I leave mine muted unless I'm in party chat with friends.
I am on Xbox One. I don't have a head set on or plugged in. Don't know nothing about them. After reading this, people can still hear me on the Kinect? How do I know if people can hear me or not.
I just hate how some people were using the ***/*** words all the time and what they were going to do with it/them. Some very vulgar stuff. I thought this was against Zenimax policy.
So my questions is, One, how do I know if people can hear me if I don't have a head set but yet have Kinect. Two. Can we report people using vulgar language. If so, how do we know how is saying what. It was in the Market square where the Smithy is when you become an Altmer. I don't know why that place seems to be very vulgar place.
Not my quote but I love this saying
"I would pay It for support. But since they choosed we are just numbers and not customers, i dont mind if game and zos goes to oblivion"
*Logs in, immediately opens menu, opts out of Area Chat* Ah, silence.
I'm convinced some people turn their mics on purely to annoy other players. They cough incessantly. They mimic Darth Vader with the creepy breathing. They invite the world's loudest people over to their house for a party. They throw their mics into the washing machine (well, it sounds like it sometimes). They blast music for their whole neighborhood to hear. Then there's either the static or the high-pitched beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. I swear some players must literally have their consoles and televisions set up in the middle of the tarmac at a busy airport, 'cause dude, your mic is blaring the sound of 747's turbines firing up right into my ears.
Totally agree with this. A negative side effect is that people will mute the chat and can't hear you. Which is a big issue trying to complete the "defend the silvernar" quest and trying to tell people not to attack the spawn. Since they cam't hear you because of the blablabla on the chat
*this is an example, since i already finished the quest but i noticed this*
The first time I played there was some guy recording a "let's play" video or something and I first thought it was a tutorial or something as he was describing in great detail everything he was doing.
as a new player I didn't realize the first few hours of gameplay that my Kinect was indeed using its mic feature int he public chat zones, I wasn't being loud or obnoxious or have crazy backround murders of people or animals but I was having a conversation with my girl and it wasn't for a few minutes that I was looking at the screen and I noticed my mic alert flashing so you gotta have a little leeway with new players. butttttttt, the idiots who blatantly know what they are doing and have horrible music blasting and them rapping or singing along yea, you guys and girls are pretty inconsiderate.
skironerocks on xbox one, 360 and youtube, twitch.tv/usedtobespinkicks @spinkicks on instagram
Speaking of... I had no idea my kinect served as a mic while I was playing ESO and I always snap Xbox music and play it and turn the hame volume way down.. my tv speaker is RIGHT beside my kinect. And Im a very LOUD music listener. I had NO clue until someone cursed me out and called me a ***. Lmfao. I dont see how people can blantantly do it and just not gove af about ruining the game for everyone else. Some of us really dont mean to be such asses, we're just clueless. Lmfao.
